Hello diabolo players! For those of us who couldn't make it, here is a video of the diabolo battle of the EJC brought to you by Luke Burrage. Enjoy!

Great idea!
I doubt anybody would visit where I live (middle of nowhere), but I'm on the map.

Tricks / Re: Mini-genocide wrap
« on: December 21, 2020, 03:00:24 PM »
For the inside wrap: it helps if your hand (the one on the string) is closer to the flying stick, so you have a smaller string going between your arm and your body. Also push the string to make space for the sticks.

For the outside wrap: you want your hand to be closer to the stick you're holding and pull the string towards you when you rewrap.

Don't hesitate to exagerate the pull or push of the string at first. It will make your diabolo tilt a bit. Later when your wrap is consistent, try to pull/push as little as you can get away with.

Hope this helps  :)

I thought this one would already be done.
I'm taking it down.

Thanks for noticing.

Gear / Diabolo t-shirts

Hi everyone!

I started to design diabolo t-shirts and I would like honest feedback on them.
Here is where you can find them (and hopefully buy them  :P ):

I'm a total beginner at designing so any advice is welcome.

I love the 2 diabolo arm combo at the end! You make it look so easy and then I tried to do it ...
Nice routine! Thanks for sharing it Wis.

Name: Clo
Location: Sagnat, France
Age: 33
Website: Nope

1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
I started when I was 16. I'm coming back from a 10 year long break, so about 7 years.
I used to be Tiamat on this forum. This is the only video I did at the time :

2. What or who got you started?
Saw this on TV (was a different music, but the tricks were the same), thought it was cool and bought 2 diabolos the next day:

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
That feeling when you finally learn a new trick or when you create something new.
I also love the sharing and learning during conventions.

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
Half an hour max.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
I did once.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ?
A bit of cigar boxes, but I'm not very good at it. Maybe because I use them more as a tripod for my camera than as juggling props  :embarassed:

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
JuggleDream Typhoon
DEOS carbon fibre
Henry's white

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
I love working with 1, like working with 2 and 3d hates working with me!

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
Behind the back genocide.

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
The 360 arm mini-genocide thing by Etienne in this video ( at 1:35 )

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
3 diabolos

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?
The complete list would be every diaboloist I've seen on video or IRL.
My favourite ones would be Wis, Judith Both and Arthur Hyam.

Tutorials / Re: - Interviews with diaboloists

Hi, great idea!

My questions would be:
- How much do you train?
- Is there a specific structure to your training session (like routine tricks first, then new tricks, ...)?
- How do you choose which tricks to work on next?

When will the first interview be posted?

Yes for more videos like this! Can't stop watching it. Love the overall feel of it.
And the trick at 2:07 : OMG !!! so beautiful
