There's a ton of really creative tricks here. Took me a while before I realized you need a special set of diabolo sticks. It's genius. Like a mix of yoyo and diabolo.

Tricks / Re: What do you wish you'd learned earlier?« on: December 20, 2014, 04:46:54 AM »
You know how you can get into 2D Sprinkler two ways: External wrap (the "easy" sprinkler) and internal wrap? The internal wrapped sprinkler took forever to figure out.
Also, the 2D C-Fan. Learned that about 7 years after picking up diabolo! 5

Practice / Re: 3 Diabolos 100 ott« on: November 18, 2014, 03:45:51 PM »Hey MBG4, Learning 3 diabolos is an ongoing process that doesn't stop at 10 catches or 100 catches. 8 months is average. I first tried 3D in 2007...and only cracked it in 2013, a full 6 years later. 8

Despite its difficulty, this is a well explained tutorial. The technique described allows one to practice 4d step by step.

Tricks / Re: 3 diabolo shuffle: help! (wrap start & asynch shuffle)« on: November 17, 2014, 02:26:34 PM »Yeah, when I saw this video I didn'd belive him. I mean, I practiced like everyday, sometimes many hours, and I got it in like 6 months a bit. I think he misspoke in the video, and was referring to two weeks to learn a specific technique, not necessarily the 3 diabolo shuffle. After personally experiencing the difficulty of learning 3D myself, I know it's extremely hard to learn in under a month. If you could really learn 3 that fast, there would be so many more people who could do it. 11

That was amazing, especially the speed at which the 3 diabolo C-fans were being done. I didn't even think that was possible. How were they not colliding and messing up? Here I am trying to learn 3D Sun, and these guys are light years ahead of anyone on the planet. Again, so amazing.

Tricks / Re: How many time to do 3 diabolos ?« on: December 10, 2013, 03:13:34 AM »
It took me about 8-9 months, and that was with very persistent practice. Like, I had to do it an hour everyday. You eventually hit a breaking point and the motion just "clicks" in your mind. Great feeling when that happens!

Gear / Re: Any advice for string that goes through the handle?« on: October 16, 2013, 03:21:16 AM »
Here is a method I use to string my Sundia Carbon fibre sticks, which is also a hollow handle:
You need a lighter, a business card and a small glove. 1. Put on the glove and fold the business card in half. 2. Use the folded business card to pinch one end of the string, leaving a little string hanging out from the end of the card. 3. Use the lighter to burn the end of the string so it melts. 4. Remove lighter, and quickly pull the string through the folded card. Make sure to wear the glove to prevent burns. 5. If done right, you now have one end of the string pinched into a nice sharp point, which can be threaded easily! 17

Robin Spinelli's skill is unparalleled. What a wonderfully jaw dropping juggling video to watch.
As someone who only just learned three diabolos, seeing this inspires me to practice even harder. So much to learn still, and the boundaries are still being pushed. 18
Gear / Re: The evolution of Sundia diabolos« on: May 11, 2013, 01:45:53 PM »
Thanks for sharing this fascinating insight into the world of diabolo in Taiwan. I did not know that it was a sport taught in schools over there! It's far different from here in the U.S., where even in 2013, most people have no idea what a diabolo even is.
Sundia diabolo products also continue to impress me with their quality. Everything I use is Sundia now, sticks and diabolo. I always recommend the Sundia Sun to people, as I feel it is the best diabolo I've ever used (I owned Henry Circus and Finesse before. They don't compare to Sundia). 19
General / Re: So what do you do alongside diabolo« on: April 23, 2013, 01:34:26 PM »
I can juggle 3-4 balls, and I'm working on 5. I also do a lot of club passing at our local clubs. I can do the club feeding pattern. I can pass 7 balls.

This guy is really pushing the limits on what you can do with 4D Low. My jaw was on the floor with that endurance.
The 3D routine was impressive. Being able to land all those tricks without drops...that's got to make Tino one of the best diaboloists on Earth no? |
