1 Policy & Feedback / Re: Suggestion: Ability to lock own topics
« on: November 22, 2006, 10:14:46 PM »
Honestly, I don't really like the idea. I've found that alot of useful information can be discovered by people asking questions later on in the topic. Also, if everyone had to create a new topic for a question related to the locked topic the amount of topics would increase dramatically. I can see this actually being more work for the mods since in general I do not see them locking topics that much unless of course the information can be found somewhere else in the forum and the post was semi-pointless.

While it might be a good idea for some other forums, in my opinion open topics is how alot of information can be found. Also, people might have more usefull information to add on later that you might not have thought of.

german seems to work.
the only things in english are of course the titles of posts and the posts, the news, and the title of the forums. That was expected though.

Unfortionatly i cant find the catalog or them on the net, they only had red ones too

This is a necessity for us though and hopefully one of the major manufacturers will come out with one soon.

the store you're looking for is
there has been some discussion about it in

juggling store does not have them yet and mr babache has informed that the production will be finished in october.

the link does not work for me, bandwidth exceeded.

on friday i've a performance at another high school and i think my routine will be mostly very simple tricks that look good in dimmed light.  I'm not a very good performer so easy tricks will be my main source. I will probably include infinit suicides and a mini genocide, or even a genocide. I have not decided wether i will do two diabolo tricks since i'm terrible at them. i would rather do something easy and make it look good then something hard and struggle.

I enjoy watching well performed routines that are smooth and well planned out more than watching incredibly hard tricks(even though some are just so great i can't stop watching them)

to the void: as soon as i read strag i smiled. the hitchickers guide to the galaxy is such a wonderful book.

well if you wanted to add more weight to the side, couldnt you just use a flexible plastic, and in there are little metal balls that add the weight. the balls would be not be able to bend out of shape easily since there is no room plus it's not one big hoop.

dunno, just an idea.

oh the video, i really enjoyed it. It was extremly educational and i learned quite a few things. well done everybody, well done.

nice pics.
my question though is, how did you make the sticks? i'm looking for a permanent way to make goodlooking glow in the dark sticks. for my last show i just taped very small glow sticks to my sticks, which works ok, they look good, but sometimes get in the way.

it could just be a temporary solution so people dont have to buy new sticks all the time since it will probably be cheaper to buy the tip then a new stick.

speaking of the light kits. i just used them today in my show. also, i've found a very easy way to make your sticks glow. i just made taped 9 1.5 inch glow sticks to my stick. 3 in a row, and 3 rows so that all sides are illuminated.

this leaves the tip still fairly open to allow 2 diabolo corrections(it does need a little bit of adjustment, but not much). it works really well. just thought i'd share that. and yes, the blinking lights are awesome. i noticed something today. a totally modded out finesse is about $80. 40-diabolo, 30-light kits, 10-wide axle.

it does seem silly, but ont he other hand it's necessary to keep them alive. if everybody knew what their stuff was made out of, other companies could easily produce them aswell.

i just wish they'd told me. it would have made my search so much easier.
