I'd like your opinion on an idea.....

I'm thinking about creating a diabolo website dedicated to tutorial videos.

The tuts would be categorised into 1D, 2D, 2D high, 3D, 3D high etc. This will make it a bit easier to find what you're after.

Videos would still sit in Youtube or Vimeo but embedded in the site.

I doubt I'll be able to create enough videos myself for the website so would be relying on others to create videos for me to upload.  Also, I'd have a standard of quality for the tuts as I find a lot of them are pretty poor and not great at teaching.

Any comments or suggestions welcome.

Here's a collection of film I took from the Eurpopean Juggling Convention in Joensuu Finland 2010.

For me it was 8 days of diaboloing hard and partying each night. Thanks to everyone who attended for making it an amazing experience.

Hope you enjoy the video!

Practice / 2 High Angles
« on: March 26, 2010, 06:59:47 AM »
Hey Everyone,

I'm going to work on a 2 high video and will be trying to push some boundaries with the camera angles and also tricks.

This was me fooling around with the camera on the ground and doing some basic stuff.

It was a little windy and I found it hard to keep the diabolos always close to the camera on the ground and in shot, however I think with practice I should be able to master it :)

Any feedback welcome.

Gear / Mister Babache Light kit batteries
« on: March 17, 2010, 08:39:02 PM »
Does anyone know the exact specifications of the Mister Babache light kit rechargeable batteries?

I find that they lose power after a couple of hours - I would like to see if I can buy some 'regular' batteries of the same spec and replace them in the kits.

Does anyone have issues with the Mister Babache light kits not working after being dropped from a height?

I think they get loose connections over time.   Any suggestions?

Also, does anyone know the specs of the batteries?  The rechargeable batteries are crap and run down quickly - I would like to buy regular batteries and use them instead.

Gear / Fire Diabolo Experiences and Gora Kits for Mr. Babache
« on: February 28, 2010, 08:28:08 AM »

I've used a fire diabolo a couple of times before but don't have much experience with them.

I'd like to get 2 fire diabolos for high tricks and maybe some low 2D.

Could someone please offer advice on what fire diabolos are like with 2D tricks?  What happens when they get tangled in the string?

Do you need to use kevlar string?

What're the Gora fire kits like? Are they the best option for fire diabolos on the market?

Thanks in advance.
