Just landed my first 3D sprinkler. Never really put any effort into this trick. Got it very clean.

Tricks / Re: 3 diabolo shuffle: help! (wrap start & asynch shuffle)
« on: December 05, 2009, 10:38:55 PM »
that's not bad felix. at least the shuffle is exploding rather than collapsing so you've got the right idea.
i think you just need to tone the movements down a bit. i'm not sure though...anyone else?

Practice / Re: 3D starts and shuffle styles

Wrap start is the best for learning in my opinion, it gives the wrapped diabolo more spin that the throw start but its all a matter or preference, some people prefer the throw start.

Shuffle style is down to preference too, people always say don't aim for one or the other and do what feels natural. I agree but it you prefer the look of sync then aim for sync and vice versa. Having said that, once you have a solid shuffle in either style it's not too hard to change it.

Can't really add much to that. Wrap start is the most popular because it gives the best spin and timing. As for the shuffle, do what is natural. I found synch easier but asynch does allow people to make progress faster it seems. Concentrate on getting a solid shuffle of whatever style and then adjust it

Why do you stick with that shuffle, when you have that amazing async pattern you showed me at BJC? It was really really smooth.

it was? i always thought my asynch looked beyond bad.
i stick with what Ive got because A- I'm used to it B-it doesn't restrict me as far as I'm concerned and C-my asynch is as comfortable

You're quite the silent acheiver. Your 3d is excellent, I love how your shuffle often looks so unstable and hard to pull tricks from, but you pulls tricks well! Now just go outside and get some bright, shiny new diabolos ;)

people always say how bad my shuffle looks. but i guess i have proved people wrong that shuffle doesn't count for everything.
new diabolos as soon as i have enough money. then ill try 4...maybe. :P

Like riding a bike.

Have you been concentrating on getting that low 7 ball cascade of yours solid then?

Ive been trying but to no avail. my record is only 36 catches on video even though I'm sure i got 50 at brizzle fairly solid. :/
Ive got into juggling a lot more now since bjc and sue to the winter kicking in.

I've not been doing any diabolo for a month or two now so i thought i'd have a little practice with 3D to check how much i'd regressed in skill. i was suprised that several tricks came on the first attmept.
nothing special, just basic moves.
it's mainly to prove to myself that i havn't lost all my skill but i thought i might as well share it.

a practice video

I think the time has come for a newer version of diabology  :)

And this time in a diffrent set up!

- A freestyle section where everyone just made a video in hd and send that to the editor. Who just puts it all together. ( Just like a colloboration )
- A tutorial section but then tutorials on a whole new level!

I mean tutorials about the hard tricks! Their are not many tutorials about the hard extreme tricks. Like integrals and all the variations, hard 3d tricks, creative 2d tricks. A part for passing tips and tutorials about tricks to do with a partner like the sharpe brothers do.

i like this idea. the tutorials on diabology arent really that great

Thats ridiculous. Really really ridiculous. So is this thread.

agreed. and its getting worse and worse as more people reply

This is true, this is what i was thinking. But this guy is saying that it cant be related to ANYTHING apart from 3D. So you could do a 42 with balls, you could do it from a shower so it doesnt count, 531 is a juggling siteswap so that doesnt count.
This is rediculous, i agree with Ben his reasoning is ****ing stupid.

i agree with you on the 42 and then again anytrick with 3D can be done with balls...except sprinklers...2D...dang.
you wont find one

Tricks / Re: Is there a real 3d trick?
« on: November 05, 2009, 06:16:03 PM »
So lets say that diabolo developed far before juggling tricks, then the cascade and mini columns would be 'real' tricks wouldn't they?
your reasoning is silly.

yes but even if they were, they are still related to the same juggling moves.

some siteswaps should count. eg 42 and 531
because they are far enough away from the 2D tricks that are similar. 441 wouldn't count because it is too close to 31.
