Tricks / Re: Starting and correcting 2 diabolos

Perhaps your string is a tad new, and is really slippery?
I think that the Orange UV Fluo string is incredibly slick when you first use it, and it's hard getting a good grip with it (heck, you can even do a triple-wrapped acceleration, and it'll still be fine).

Maybe giving a strong spin with your hands directly after you wrap it will help, although I'm not sure how hard you're spinning it at your start.

Otherwise, you could use a different start, since not every start is universally the easiest.

When I saw the title I thought you were talking about unwrapped infinite suicides to genocide rewrap....  Yea I can't do that.
Hehe, neither can I
I think that would be better titled "Because all the Malaysians and Taiwanese are doing it"
The Umbrella bounce dance was so cool... can i steal it?
Very nice show as well =]
Haha, seeing as I stole it (and I think the Sharpes, too) from the MFP, go ahead :P

Gear / Re: Diabolo bags
« on: February 12, 2008, 06:49:05 AM »
Essentially any bag with a strap and some sort of fastening device is going to be better, since you're bound to have extras lying around your house, and you won't have to waste money on a diabolo bag...

Backpacks, sports bags, and the like all work fine... Why bother getting a diabolo bag?

Try to get either Babache XTremes or Henry's aluminum sticks.  Both made out of same material and they have good quality
Personally, I think that the silicon grips of the xtreme sticks are much better than the rubber ones of the aluminums...

Yup. Another Chinese New Years performance video :P.

Before you start commenting, I do realize that this is the music Tempei uses, but I hadn't been aware of that when I chose the music, so please don't go on about the obvious :-\
And there isn't any real editing, I just cut out this bit from the entire performance, and the filming was done by my little sister, so it isn't going to be terribly well done.

And the umbrella bounce bit from the MFP, of course... That's just a necessity for a happy performance ;)

Funky grinds, I think you should make a 2 minute routine just on random grinds with a bearing diab :P

I like carbon fibres over aluminums, any day >_>
Perhaps you ought to try out those Sundia carbons? I've heard they're more durable than the Henry's.

Performances / Re: A performance with Trash
« on: February 12, 2008, 12:47:19 AM »
That was a nice performance :)
Even with the minimal drops you had, it was still a great show!
An interesting theme to develop the show, too, baby juggling = ::)

Haha, only natural for such an awesome diaboloist and performer to get high rankings :)
William is quite the sick diaboloist!

You could always check
They're usually pretty up to date with all the conventions worldwide.

Marketing?  :-\

Of all the newer diabolos they are by far the most widely available. Most people haven't tried all the diabolos. They've only been able to compare those diabolos that are available to them. I'd say Diabology has been good for MB. They come in pretty colours too!
Heh, yeah, I'd have to agree with that, since I was one of those people who saw Diabology and just had to have some finesses ::)

Aw, snap, I like all the Sundia diabolos; traditional, mono-wheel, sun, fly, I love them all!
Oh well, since I can only vote for one, I'll go with Fly

Hmm, I wonder the same thing as Sambo, it seems like it might be a tad unstable with such a huge axle.
How long is it, exactly?

That 2d start is absolutely sublime
My thoughts exactly!

He's also got quite a nifty combo of repeated whip-duicide-btb catch

Still laughing at the Spare Time thing XD

Spiffy diab stuff. The Sharpes are crazy at diabolo, and they have been for quite awhile...

Holy. S***.
You guys are sick.

Ah, I'd so love to go by there again and actually be present for the competition this time...

Too bad it isn't in March, that's when my mom's going to vote for the elections, and I might've gotten a free ride over ::)

i think yospin rebranded diabolo because it sounds too close to "diablo". That would make it hard to sell in predominately hispanic communities like Miami or whatever. I agree with their decision. If my child wanted me to buy something called a "satan" i wouldnt buy it either.
People these days are just so overly protective... Who says that it's even intended to corrolate with the devil in the first place >_>
Wish that common sense was more common than it actually is.
