Just like to say, you sir ROCK

(back to crossbow training)
A real man, like Link, uses a wooden bow made from the finest yew wood there is! None of that non-traditional stuff with your spring loaded action, ;)

Spiffy trick, made me laugh :D

I'd recognize those marble and cheap and cold/hard floor tiles anywhere...Where did you get the picture, Nahxela?  Those floor tiles are Taiwanese!
No. Not exactly Taiwanese... More like a school's flooring.

Hmm, it's snowing over here at the moment...
Don't think I'm going to do much diaboloing, since my fingers would probably fall off, otherwise.

Weren't the Crystal Suns supposed to be of a limited supply?
Did SundiaSports just make another batch, or have these been circling around?
I want some...

People are easily impressed by any sort of release tricks...
Like genocides, duicides, etc.

Perhaps you ought to not press so hard?
Sandpaper isn't that bad unless you use it controlled

Same for me, though I did click the thumbs down for all the others, then went round again, then on my laptop..... Just for good measure!!!!
I voted for you, Pranay :). Did the same as Tipiphil except only for a few. xD

That was a good video of Yabe :)
I like that finishing knot of his that he does, quite whimsy
His reverse vertax orbit/bounce is cool as usual :)

Haha, yeah, those aren't actually mine.
I have a SundiaSports brand Chinese yoyo (and a mono-yoyo/diabolo) which is much better than the traditional kind and a broken one :(

Or we could just be diligent, not lazy, and find an actual picture comparing the two :P

I'd absolutely love to go!
I have family in Taiwan, and my mom is going back to Taiwan for the elections in march, maybe I could skip some school for the PEH Cup :).
Do you by any chance know when the competition is? (Specific time/date)

Tricks / Re: Tricks you want to see -
« on: November 22, 2007, 08:36:53 PM »
No.. I'm sorry but this is quite impossible
Ah, oh well...
But if and when you do the sort of acrobatic-integrated-trick you were talking about, I'd like to see it!

You mean a cartwheel without arms I assume? Actually that might be a usefull sort of motion for throwing! Especially when you can make it really high, one would have plenty of spare time to either pick one's nose or throw this sort of object in question, we communicate to much about.
Nice idea anyhow.
Actually, I'm not sure if you'd be able to throw a diabolo very high while in mid-aerial because you have to exert a lot of motion in doing the handless cartwheel, and then you wouldn't have much force left to throw a diabolo high up (straight, and minorly forward)

Yes I absolutly agree, but only in combination with a diabolo for this matter. If its diabolo and acrobatics at the same time, okay, otherwise it's a mix of tumbling and high technical diabolo.
That was what I was getting at ;), something like Les Sept Doigt:

I'm quite willing to make the trip over and slap anybody who uses the word 'yo spin' in a non-ironic way.
I'm tempted to do so.

A diabolo team in America would be pretty sweet, but seeing as a lot of us seem to still be students, our actual group stuff would seem to be very limited...
And working out all those festivals seems a bit much to me for all of us to be able to coordinate :-/

Black Friday for those good 'ole electronic sales at Best Buy and whatnot ;)

Steel wool is probably better than sandpaper because the sand paper might flatten out parts of your axle instead of only getting rid of the rust.

Has anybody duct taped carbon/fibreglass sticks before and had them work fine?
I'm wondering if this'll work, but it doesn't seem likely to me.

Tricks / Re: Tricks you want to see -
« on: November 21, 2007, 08:04:41 PM »
Doing a front or black flip over the diabolo whilst it is on the string with little movement/shock applied to the diabolo...
I'd imagine Tony doing something like that, but he'd probably toss it up somewhere before landing the flip...

Aerial cartwheel sun! Or duicide --> Aerial --> Catch duicide in mid air and finish with a sun or something

Essentially, more acrobatics would be cool...

Tricks / Re: Staircase fans
« on: November 21, 2007, 08:02:13 PM »
Before I saw the video I thought it would be someone doing fans up and down a staircase ::)

Those look spiffy, but sort of cumbersome :(
Would you need long arms to do that? Because it looks like it would help...

Hopefully I'll have a camera by then that I can use >_>

I live near DC, so that'll be cool for me, I could diabolo on the mall (which isn't a shopping mall) and maybe get some friends together to do something.

That was interesting o_0, although knowing what was going on with the strings would've been nice ._.

It's Phat with a "P-H."
Like how Phun Physics can be!
I'm punny  ::)

Tricks / Re: New way into vertax (orbiting)
« on: November 19, 2007, 07:54:48 PM »
Ah, I see now...

Then what's an entry into vertax from a gyro stick grind called o_0?

Tricks / Re: New way into vertax (orbiting)
« on: November 19, 2007, 12:37:30 AM »
Isn't a gyro entry into vertax done by doing a gyro stick grind and then catching the diabolo while going to vertax?
Whereas an orbit entry is doing some sort of orbit trick while tilting the diabolo until it eventually gets into vertax?

Unless I'm just missing something...
