Hello there.
Yes, the diabolo string is good quality! That store is the official distributor of Taibolo products in the USA so you can be sure that the quality is there! 6

Should be from the year 2008!
Edit: I'll look for the vid when I get back home. Posted the music without looking for the vid online since I have it on my hard drive. If I can't find the vid hosted anywhere, I'll retract it/let ppl know what it was from, and someone else can choose a new song. 10

It is unusual that the cups differ by 5 grams.
Taibolos are a high quality diabolo used by many so I think that yours is a special case. sorry this happened to you ![]() 15
General / Re: pro string gauge, and legit retailers« on: September 04, 2013, 06:49:17 PM »was wondering if I should order them from here "http://taibolo-usa.com" or is there a better place that's legit? That place is legit. Especially since you're on the East Coast of the USA 16
Performances / Re: Competition in Taiwan« on: April 21, 2012, 06:22:57 AM »
Just speculation, but I think that they are required to use the monobolo in the competition, along with a time restriction of about 3 minutes
3 minutes is a really short time, and its quite difficult to fit in many tricks. Thus in order to save time, most use the 2d ground start which is quick and efficient. Since they want to get it out of their way and move onto other tricks, they do a simple monobolo section as fast as possible. As for the infinites, I would guess that its a basic flashy trick and transitions into a finishing duicide well so...perhaps thats why most of them have it. just a possibility for why those things you listed are probably in most of their performances 17
Practice / Re: 1 Year On Still Cant Do It!!« on: March 12, 2012, 09:25:16 PM »
I completely understand what you're saying Arjan! I think the hover start was preventing me from getting familiar with the 3dl low pattern and it held my progress back for quite a while.
Despite being able to hover, I simply could not get a proper 3d opening. I spent about a year or so trying to get a good opening from a hover before finally giving up and trying the throw in start and the wrap start. IMO I should have just used the wrap start to begin with. Using the wrap start, I can now get a decent opening 90% of the time and from there, I am able to get around 10 ott. Now I can finally focus on the actual 3d shuffle without worrying too much about the opening. If I had not switched to the wrap start, I would probably still be stuck trying the hover and failing at it. even now, I can't even get a decent and controlled opening so I definitely think that it (the hover) has impeded my progress. I guess the point I'd like to reiterate is to try all sorts of different methods. It is definitely good to choose one and stick with it, but if that seems to be going nowhere, it's a good idea to switch things up and try new things. 18
Gear / Re: Difference between the taibolos?« on: July 13, 2011, 04:18:33 AM »
the difference between the taibolo light weight and super v2 is mainly the weight. This light weight taibolo is better for little kids as using the super would put too much strain on their wrists so even five year olds can diabolo. simply put, beginners and little kids would be best suited to using the taibolo light weight. Also, if one is just looking for a diabolo to learn the basics and just have fun with diabolo on a less serious note, then this is the best diabolo for them due to its lower price.
The orange taibolo string is NOT the same as the white. The orange string is nylon whereas the white string is cotton and thus the white string is stickier/grippier than the orange nylon. The orange nylon is much much much more slippery than the white one. As for the sticks, imo, they are good for me. The short carbons are a nice length and the foam is not too soft nor too stiff. If the sticks are taken care of and not abused, they will last a long time and will not wear. I still have my first pair since I started diabolo which was about 6 years ago and I'm still happily using it 19
