But untill today i didn'y know what 3rd base diabolo was, allthough i had alot of ideas.

Just out of intrest what do the people who care think it might be??

Tricks / magic knot from infinite suicide

Hi everybody

I have just got my genocides from infinite suicides sorted but realy want the magic knot to the other genocides.

Every time i try and do it my string misses the diabolo (it wraps around the stick in between me and the diabolo)

Any help would be appreciated)

Hi iv'e finally got round to getting teflon hubs for my circi, but i cant undo the nuts.

I've soaked then in WD40 but to no avail

if i use a socket set it just starts shearing the bolts.

Any Ideas?

Gear / Juggling shops in Dublin

Hi guys (and Girls)

i'm in Ireland for a week and will be stopping in Dublin for a day on the 28th.

I just wondered if someone could point me in the direction of a Juggling shop (hopefully that sells teflon hubs, maybe even a number so i could ring up and order some?)

A big thanks to the Ginger Beard lot for coming down to pontefract this weekend and having a juggling workshop at the Liquorice fair.

There were a couple of different performances going on including staff, fire clubs and of course diabolo.

I was going to have a bash at performing but i was too sto........drunk to even ask.

Thankyou guys, Pontefract has never looked better.

Technical / Converting Quicktime .mov to .mpeg

Hi there any help would be apreciated on this one.

I have just about compiled all the footage for the pontevid.

My digital camera puts my videos into quicktime format but premier or WMM wont read .mov files.

I have got a WINVideo converter and tried to convert the .mov but it is only getting the sound and it makes the .mpeg 10-15 times bigger the the .mov file.

Please point me in the direction to a decent converter so i can finish this damn video.

Oh god please help

Tricks / Slowcide -> Mini genocide

Hello  

I've been looking at the trick video archive and noticed in the genocide section there is mention of a slowicide to mini genocide.

Nik mentioned this to me at shefcon a bit ago (and i think i saw norbi do one out of the corner of my eye )

Iv'e been playing with the idea but keep hitting myself in the face!

Please could i have some tips as i dont want to flood the diabolo injuries thread!!

Tricks / Genocide from arm orbit backhand/scoop catch

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents.

I have recentley learnt mini-genocides out of inverse arm orbit and really want to know how to get into to position from regular arm orbit.

There is a bit on Diabology where Erik is in arm orbit, catches it rubber arm and then does a little mini genocide but catches the stick before it does a full wrap around the axle, putting him in the  position  to mini genocide in theother direction.

I can catch the diabolo from the rubber wrist but always enf up with about 2 or 3 wraps in it. does anyone have any tips for making the first stick release a little slower?

Gear / Diabolo Clothing

I've had a look on the forum and cant see any related threads, so here we go.

As a keen diaboloist (is that right? i cant juggle any thing else so i dont feel like a juggler) i would quite like a Henry's or MB Tshirt to wear down at the pub or when i'm out.

Does any body know where i could get such things??

...back to that @~*>ing shuffle....

Videos / 1D Leg orbit tricks/runs

Hello everybody

My attempts with 2D are bringing me close to tears so i thought i would see what ideas people had for leg orbit tricks.

All i have at the moment are suicide/slowcide to back, the one where you catch the diabolo backside and then turn (frontside if you skate) 180.

I have seen one where you turn the opposite way and the diablo ends in some sort of knot?? and also Jibe (sorry i keep going on about him but the majority of stuff i have got tricks from are off his web site) throws his stick around his leg which creates some sort of loop i think but i dont know how it works.

Any takers??

Videos / Inverse arm orbit figure of 8

The only time i have seen this is on the Jibe website.

I know that you start with a trapeze whilst in the inverse arm orbit then flick it back round over both arms, but i dont have a clue how!!

This is the first time i have used a forum so ive just been tormenting my self for the last 2 months trying to figure it out on my own.

Any takers?
