Tricks / Re: Integral Tutorial Request (ENGLISH)

Also include a section on integrals as a whole: How most of the long ones you see are just a series of simpler ones strung together, or are just a simple mini-gen or something with 1000 flourishes thrown in. etc.

Tricks / Re: What do you wish you'd learned earlier?
« on: March 25, 2014, 10:14:29 PM »
I agree with the 3D low! I put off learning it for so long (mainly because it was not very fun to start with :S ) But now its the most fun with diabolo I think I've ever had. I also wish I had learnt minicolumns (2D, not 3 lol). It has given me such a good understanding of how diabolos work.

Tricks / Re: Catching a vertical diabolo?
« on: March 16, 2014, 11:40:55 PM »
I find continuing from UFO grind fairly hard as well. obviously the more speed you have when you do it, and the shorter you grid for will make catching easier, but if you really want a long grind (in a performance for example) maybe just consider catching with your hand and doing a nice throw in?

General / Learning Methods
« on: March 16, 2014, 08:12:18 AM »
Hi all,

I was wondering what methods you use when progressing with diabolo?
For example:
Choosing 1 trick and sticking with it until you have it down.
Have a few tricks you work on, and when you get one you start working on another.
Just do whatever you want to hope something just works. etc.

I have recently managed a solid 3D so am particularly interested in the above regarding 3D tricks.

Also, for those working/doing 4. When do you think is a good time to start?
I assume the better I am at 3, the easier 4 will be. but also, if I work on 4, 3 will also feel easier (or am I wrong entirely).

I would love to hear what other people do/think.

Gear / Re: white taibolos oO

I bought 3 "Green" Taibolos(V2) and received "Apple Green" instead. They were clearly different to the ones in the picture. They claim there aren't any others though...

Tricks / Re: 3 diabolo shuffle: help! (wrap start & asynch shuffle)
« on: February 28, 2014, 02:19:46 AM »
Hey AznnBoyaZ.

You seem to be at the same stage with 3D as I am. :D
I got it solid a few weeks ago and have been working on tricks. Tyson_11 has been giving me some pointers.
Ive found I can 'Do' most of the easy tricks - suns, 42suns, 2-3fts etc. However continuing the shuffle after these is the hard part for me. I think we have figured out why and it might help for you as well.

There are two main reasons:
- When I shuffle I was primarily using my arms and keeping my wrist tense and straight. This worked fine for the shuffle, but when it came to doing tricks, it didnt give me much control over the diabolos. Ive started using my wrists more and I just have a better feel of the whole thing in general (although I have to relearn suns because they feel different, but it should pay off).
-Also, althought I could do an async shuffle, I realised there is a difference between doing an asynch shuffle where the sticks move alternating rather then together, and an asynch shuffle where you have independant control of each hand. I assume this comes with time, but its definately something worth being aware of.
I havent seen a video of your shuffle but hopefully some of this helps :D Any extra input should be good. Im looking forward to when 3D is as comfortable as 2D.

Regarding corrections:
I can't correct in a shuffle, although I can correct the wrapped diabolo while doing a hover, by tapping it. I didnt find this too difficult as I was comfortable doing it with 2D. My plan is now to get a shuffle to hover down (I think its actually fairly tricky), which means I should be able to correct any diabolo in my shuffle, and maintain high speeds.
Totally the way to go.
