Tricks / Re: Continuous wrapped mini-genocides
« on: July 29, 2008, 10:23:31 AM »
Thanks Sean and JimmyCords. :D You guys' answers help me learn something new.so i should wait until my right stick is at my right side and parallel to the ground then pinch straight up?
I'll try it today.
Yea, that worked wonders for me because if you dont grab the string, you let the stick get momentum in the right direction. Just be wary of whether the stick has to pass in front of your hand or behind it.

I find that once you have done your backwrap and let go of your stick, don't grab the string straigh away. Wait till the stick is at around about 3 o'clock (for righties) then pinch it and so on... I used to be only able to get it right of a left wrap, but using the method described above I found it possible to do them off a right backwrap. Hope this helps.

General / Re: Good Diabolo music?
« on: July 27, 2008, 11:01:14 AM »
My absolute favs this time are:
Noisia - Lost Cause
Fatboy Slim - Kung Fu Fighting
Pendulum - Out Here
Those I recommend.
Pendulum are the best. Any of there songs are great to diabolo to as they are energetic and, well, awesome really.
@Darragh: Sound is just a vibration of particles. Therefore your diabolo would be able to feel the sound and who knows, might even be able to realise its being played music. Better just play it some anyway to be on the safe side.  :P

When I saw the cat in the tree I was just expecting a diabolo to come out of nowhere and knock it out of the tree.......but there's nothing funny about animal cruelty.......................................hehehe.

Severely Disapointed.

Apart from that, the video was sweet! As said before the infinite suicide thing was cool, as well as ur 2d stuff. Good Work.

Sweet, Spain it is then!!! should be warmer than Finland. Hopefully it's after semester 1.
I'd be happy to give Tasmania to Europe so we can have the EJC here!

Now thats an idea. If we could somehow work invading New Zealand into it....

Its um Burnie, Tasmania. You should come early, just to make sure.
Poor Lonely Will.... Don't Worry, once Australia invades New Zealand and turns New Zealand into a large recreational park featuring activities like Bungee-Jumping, Skiing, Jet Boat rides etc. etc. You and the rest of the Tasmanian population will be able to work in New Zealand with all the New Zealanders, operating ski lifts, driving jet boats, testing bungee cords etc. etc. hence you wont be lonely anymore.

But uh..yea..Finland eh?

Wow. Your one amazing little fella.

Also a type of integral genocide, I think it would possibly lead up to a whole new unexplored area of suicides..
Video? You've intruiged us too much so cough up.

Because israel is like.... umm.... Really far away from the world
Not really. Isreal is actually fairly close when compared to Australia. New Zealand is even worse, but noone cares about them.

One thing u need to consider is that is there even 400 active members? There are 2000-ish registered but how many of them still use the forums and are active enough to take part in this?

Great video, I liked it. Music was alright. I liked the diversity of your tricks. It wasn't just an intergral/vertax/3d movie, glad to see you mixed it up. Loved the vertax duicide. All in all, fully sick.

Ditto. Some thought has to be put into this. Maybe pick a time that is a decent time for places like North/South America, Britain, Asia, and of course, Australia (for without the large number of Australians this could never truly work). And yea, convert your chosen time different timezones.

Gear / Re: Balancers
« on: July 07, 2008, 01:34:17 PM »
I agree with Aaron. Technoligical advances in diaboloing should be celebrated. Its like comparing a Porsche 356 (older porsche from around 50's) to a Porsche 911 Carerra GT (recently released porsche). A 356 maybe be harder to drive in the sense that it doesn't handle, break as well as the Carrera GT. Does that make the driver from the 50's driving a porsche 356 better? No. Just like a diaboloist who uses a fixed diabolo isn't any better than a diaboloist who uses a bearing diabolo and vice-versa.

Anyways, back to the point. The main issue with a balancer would be the weight. Im sure a mecury based balancer would be fairly heavy.

I love you..
They look okay I guess. I'd love to see video of their light kits. Or any video with fly light kits to be honest.
I know what Will's favourite colour is........... Blue! Just like me.

260g, that sounds nice. Just as I was thinking of getting some tiabolos, BAM! New suns come out. This just throws another cat in the bag that is my brain (when thinking about my next diabolo purchase, at other times it is more like snakes in a bag, you have to be cautious and handle it with care and you never know when its gonna get you, but if u keep sticking your hand in there it will get you eventually....)

Anyways sorry for the tangent.
To summarize me likes new suns.

Blue all the way.

totally agree with Jussi. Just don't see whats the big deal on that.
He could put those four spinning on video (in same position) just as easy/hard as
it is to take that photo. And then you would complain about something else. Picture
is good.

Take it easy fellas. ;)

It was just a personal opinion, if it is real, great work. But, I think its not, and I'm allowed to think that.

As chineseyoyoworld himself said- the purpose of the picture is for us to decide whether its real or not. I decided its not.

So just "Take it easy fellas.  ;))
