Tricks / feed the sun with bearings
« on: April 20, 2010, 04:27:55 PM »
i started learing feed the suns a week ago.
And i find it difficult to pop 1 diabolo up, after 2 days of lots of practise i managed to pull 1 feed the sun off.
Couple of days later im landing it more often but it looks rediculosly ugly.
One day i did it with my friends finesses and i found out its much more easyer to pop 1 diabolo up and i also easyer to pop it higher

now my question is...

Is it gonna be easyer for me to do feed the suns with my sundias? Or should i buy other diabolos for 2D with fixed axles?

I figured other tricks will be easyer with fixed axles also....

first of all i dont think its a bad thing that (if they where) designed for easyier play.
what ist designed to do things easyier?
is a metal axle bad/cheating because the diabolo was long around before without metal axles?
bet the cups where made out of wood to.
not many ppl use wooden sticks anymore.

on the other hand i do agree that it it a sort of cheating when to ppl start diaboling and one has a fixed and one has a bearing axle, its more easyier to learn stuff with them.
but eventually you'll create your own style and your tricks become smoother and the difference between fixed and bearing users fade away.
plus if some1 fails a trick with fixed axles they need to grab the diab and speed up again.
bearings most of them time are still spinning and u can grab your "failed" stick and move on.

thnx nev

i know what to do now.

it was the actual axle that broke (so i mean the horizontal pin)
i see you dont have that as a individual part so i will order the full set instead.
thank for your help.

Performing / Re: Music for 5 minuttes or less performance
« on: April 12, 2010, 07:02:04 PM »
good deathmetal aint faggy ..... but any deathmetal doesnt belong in a diabolo show.

unless u perform before suicide silence of course xD

and think about your style also... if you diabolo real fast dont play bob marley. if your style is more gently and slow dont use deathmetal.
the music has to fit you and it also has to be something general that every1 know. so no underground dubstep or deathmetal etc.

good luck

hi guys

i have a question about a sundia shinning...

a friend of mine recently broke his axle and he wants to buy a new one.
so i went to the site where we bought them ( and find out that there are all kinds of axles.
no axle is marked with shinning only fly's and suns so my question is : does a replacement axle of a fly fit on a shinning???
and if not wich one should he order than?

thnx for reading

Gear / Re: Sundia fly axle broken
« on: March 08, 2010, 03:29:11 PM »
same thing happend to me.

im afraid u cant do something about it , exept maybe buy a new axle.
when mine broke i started using sundia shinnings because they are much less likely to break on hard surfaces.
so if u decide not to buy a new axle or maybe, i dont know glueing it or something.
my advice is to buy a shinning instead of a fly.

check here for a new axle

hope it helps!!

nice man!!
lot of fun to watch. theres some stuff ive never seen before.

how do people come up with this stuff?
when i try to do a body move (combo) the first part looks cool and then i get stuck and really dont know what to do after the first trick.
what leads me to never attempt them any more.
and alot of watching doesnt get me anywhere either, its like university level math for me hahaha ( i really suck at math)
