I'm New / Re: Introduce yourself

Welcome! Personally I think ball juggling is a lot more versatile than diabolo due to not needing specialized equipment, but diabolo is still fun of course. I would advise getting metal/carbon fiber sticks because the way wooden sticks are designed (a hole through one end of the stick) limits your ability to perform certain tricks.

I never did anything to keep my string in good condition. I don't think it matters much because diabolo string is inherently fragile; if you use it a lot it will break and you will have to replace it periodically. The only thing you really have to be aware about is what will increase and decrease the friction of the string, as that is what will impact the string feel the most. For instance, using your string on grass will generally increase string friction due to the moisture of the grass, and doing body tricks and integrals will decrease friction due to the oils on your skin.

If you're practicing at home, you should practice on a carpet if possible, because otherwise you will probably damage the floor, especially if you are using diabolos made of harder plastic.

plenty of nice ideas and flow

pretty nice tricks, you've improved a lot
i also liked the thing where you recorded the same body combo thing in 2 different places and switched between them

I was expecting it to be longer, which is maybe a good thing
i thought it was maybe a little too heavy on the random clips which made it feel neither here nor there, but it was an interesting choice and the style was reasonably distinctive

this made me break out in crazed laughter for ten seconds, it's just so ridiculous (in a good way)

what's most impressive is that it's "just" an extension of the popular 2d trick (which i can't do) , but nobody else thought "Hey, I could probably do this with 3!"

very straightforward clean style on most things, which feels nice to watch, particularly with the duicide for some reason. i can't do 2d 360 fan or 3 high yet so i can't really give any advice there, and everything else looked pretty good :P

Practice / 2-3 fts

this is the second one that i've gotten so far, the first on camera. this is horribly messy but i know it won't take me too long to do better, i already have but it takes a while for me and i'll save it if i ever make an actual video, by then i'll probably have learned cooler stuff
also thanks to Arjan for motivating me to prove to myself and other people that i don't suck extremely horribly, just sort of bad

ah, i hadn't thought of it like a c-fan, that makes sense, i'll try to do it more like that, thanks!
