Tricks / Continuous Mini-Genocide

I have seen Tim Ellis' tutorial and i dont know what it is taking about it mentions putting a left or right backwrap on the diabolo then pinch the string and pull up.
I dont understand cause my diabolo doesnt pop up like his does when he does it.
Does anyone understand what i am going on about???

I know the tricks aren't particurlarly difficult but it's what i can do

i would like some helpful constructive critiscism please but no bad comments on the
editing and continuity i know its bad lol

This is one of many "I just learnt to..." threads which was started by mrpink back in 2005. Its intended purpose was as follows:

When you learn a new trick you want to show it and tell others that you have achieved something new. This is a thread where you can tell about your latest achievements, doesn't matter if its the string climb or a solid four diabolo shuffle you just learnt, tell us about it! And let others be inspired by what you do!

The original "I just learnt to..." thread was the most popular thread on the forum. Long forum threads induce an extra burden on the forum database server, so to keep things running smoothly around here I have started archiving these threads by year.

If you really feel like reading them all, there are about 1000 posts per year (2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005). There may also be more years of threads since this message was written. Have a look around. Otherwise, just post in the most recent version of this thread. It should be near the top of the Tricks section. It almost always is.

Tricks / Suicides ( Ice Cracker) (Chinese Suicide)

I have been trying to do some suicides
ie Ice Cracker and Chinese Suicide
and i cant seem to get the stick to spin
round very fast at all. For the ice
cracker i have to catch it half way and
spin it again

Is it just speed (diabolo speed) or is it something else???

Tricks / Elevator / Climb the string

Hey Guys

I've been Diaboloing for five days and i can do
right trapezes double right trapezes, clockwise and anti
clockwise suns. I have been trying to do the elevator
or climb the string ( dunno which is which) but i can't
seem to get the diabolo to rise up to the top of the
string it only seems to want to go half way

Any tips?
