I think people go on to three diabolos after only learning a few basic trick with one and two because three seems a lot easier than some crazy one or two diabolo tricks.

I don't know if it's always true but often, I see jugglers who try to learn 3 diabs and who have real problems to run 2 diab...

General / Diabolo Spin Rate / Speedometer
« on: December 14, 2004, 12:14:22 PM »

It's possible to know when a diab speed up or slow during a trick with a spintastic (diab with one way ballbering). When the diab speed slow, you can heard some noise and when it speed up, there's no noise.

You have to found a spintastic now  .

But when lefties watch a clip by Fred, Ajan Vux  or other sinister (look it up) diaboloist then they have the same poblems as us righties.

Yes, i'm agree with that. It's not more difficulte to learn with a left hander but that change our habits. Righties (as Lefties) could be perturb when they learn a trick for the first time with a left hander.

The advantage to be a left hander is that you can do many tricks (however known) in your own way as by a mirror for a right hander...

Tricks / 3 diabolo tricks - crazy ideas
« on: December 02, 2004, 01:12:34 PM »
When you have a diabolo hight, you have not a lot of time to do 2 diabolos tricks. The only that i can do is the sun 2 diabs (i think it's the same as 522). I try to do a sprinkler but i don't have time to do it (not yet  ).

It's possible to throw a diab very hight but the other problem is to catch it after (a siteswap 4 is not very hard to catch but a 5 is more difficult. I don't talk about  6 or 7 in 3 low...).

I think all 3 diabs siteswaps up to 5 are possible (maybe up to 6).

Tricks / Re: 3 diabolo shuffle: help! (wrap start & asynch shuffle)
« on: November 23, 2004, 09:44:30 AM »
Sometimes i could whip a diabolo but i have not a precise movement (i have to work it more).

I can run my diabs during more than 1 min without whipping (in general, i drop it because i miss a trick).

There's no problems for the video :D.
For the 1 up 2 diabs suicide, not yet (a suicide is to slow and the 1 up as to be very hight). It's able with a sun and maybe with other 2 diabs fasts tricks (i search... ).

I know to concentrate on the left hand (for us righties)

Yes, it's important because when you run 2 diabs, you've not the habit to use this hand.

Quote from: Sean concentrate on lowering it quickly

It's better to run it a long time because it's less exhausting.

So, it's hard to explain.
When i run my 3 asynch diabolo shuffle, i try to slow down my movement. To do it, i throw my diabs more straight up with my arm (not with my wrist). With the other hand (the one who recieve the diabs), i try to give the opposite movement to my arm. As this, my 3 diabolos suffle is less flat and run more slowly.

I've been stuck with no progress now for 2.5 months.

Good luck, it won't last....

I don't know if i answer to your question :? .

Gear / Re: Henrys Axles (teflon, 4erli, finger etc.)
« on: November 12, 2004, 12:29:05 PM »

I have received the henry's kits last week for my diabs (it's a complet spool circus with plastic-made hubs) and it's really better than the original axe. My circus keep there inertia in comparison with the original axe. Now, the grinds are prolonged and it's weight less. It's great and i love it.

Tricks / How can I start 2 Firediabolos Firefli?
« on: November 12, 2004, 12:00:21 PM »

In a video (saclay freestyle), i have seen Priam doing another start (not with fire diabolos). This video was available here: but not now.

Put your 2 diabs at ground level with the string under them (the 2 diabs are side by side).

For right hander:
- put the end of your left stick on to the pin of the left diabolo.
- move this diabolo on to the ground (to the left) with your stick to give it some spin.
- when the first diab is enough far, do the same with the right diabolo and the right stick (still to the left) and quickly you throw the first diabolo. Normally, you run now your 2 fire diabolos :D .

It's so hard but it's possible (without touch the diabs with yours hands).
