soft cup diabolo, because my taibolo's hurt the floor

That was one of my concerns too as i live in a upstairs flat. I now have a thin sofa bed mattress on the floor as I'm dropping 2d  :)

is there anymore info about this convention online anywhere, had a look but maybe I ain't searching the right thing, its my birthday on the 13th and that's a great reason for my miss's to take me there  :)

Hey and wlecome,

Personally i love my finesse's (G4's) but im biased and unsure of others as these are the only high class diabolos i've owned and played with. if you get a chance play with a few differant types.

I use this English site (as im from England) www.oddballs.co.uk

Gear / Re: G4 string problem
« on: March 06, 2011, 08:06:25 PM »
I had this when i started with a g4 going from an old toy shop diabolo. the trick is to be aware of how the string is wrapped underneath the diabolo. e.g. if u do a right backwrap your right hand should be slightly further back then your left (and vis versa). when you do a right backwrap stop the diabolo and look at the string under the diabolo, it needs to be able move easily, if its crossed (i.e. right hand in front of left) it will wrap up. new string can help this issue but it is possible with good technique not to have a problem with wrap ups with older string, just think about how the sting is underneath the diab.

Hope you understand that and it helps.

That's a good list for just two weeks, you might have already found the following site but take a look at www.diabolotricks.com, keeping watching as many video's as you can and keep practising.
This forum is a great place to learn from, it has helped me a lot.
Watch, read, practice and if needs be ask questions. If you have a question take a look through the forum posts and use the search option above as its likely you'll find your answer here somewhere.

Welcome to diabalo.ca and the world of diaboloing.  :)

My favourite at the moment are: Henrys Carbon Short Black.
Mo mods, yet!

I've also got some henrys alu which were my first proper sticks and i loved them until i got the carbons.
I bought a cheap second hand pair of Mr B Energy's the other day, still not shore about them, don't really like the bend, but do like the way they fly in the air, kind of slow motion.

I do love the look of Marko's Hickory Sticks.
From the initial votes for the Xtreme's I'm interested in giving them a go.
I do feel bad about abandoning my old school beginner wooden stick, modified with red tape, and still get them out every now and again.

So yeah, my vote goes to Henrys Short Black Carbons
