I've had these in the UK since before Xmas but unfortunately not for sale in this part of the world until the design protection was in place (too many copies of previous Sundia designs).

I've had a good chance to put the Evo through testing and I can say in my honest opinion that they really do play extremely well.  They weigh only 250g but are more stable and maintain spin better than any other comparable Diabolo I own (and i own a LOT).

The design protection is finally done and these are now cleared for European sale.
Very limited stock of the gold version - most were reserved for the Asian market so there are only a handful in Europe.

Not officially - only homemade ones - but yes it's possible

Actually I recently found quite a few revo kits in an old box :) might see about getting them converted to fit Sundias

Hi all

Just an update to say the Diabolomoves website is undergoing a long overdue re-design.  New look, new products and new way to order (you can now choose your diabolo and then select which type of axle you would like it supplied with) - I hope this system works better for you all and I'd appreciate some feedback on the new look and anything that needs changing.  (bearing in mind its not finished yet - a few more pictures to add/update and some things to move around - some things might jump around as I work on them).

And as a little thankyou for all your support over the years I'm giving all .ca members 10% off everything during December - just use the discount code dcaforum

Hi it seems you like suns - but my guess is you have the heavy cup version.

The Sun can be set up at low as 233g with the lightweight cups / plastic washers and the full black axle - or anywhere up to 300g with the various different components

Epics seem to be a decent diabolo - I tried them out at bjc and they were very nice for numbers but i found them not so nice for 1d personally.  But for the money you can't go far wrong... And they are NOT 'knock offs' as they dont directly copy another brand - sure there are similarities but hey it would be nearly impossible to produce a new design that did not have something in common with existing products..  They are a new well made good quality diabolo.

As for knock offs - the worst thing that ever happened was many years ago when a certain french company 'knocked off' a fine diabolo formerly known as a diabig.  The original japanese version of this still ranks as one of the best diabolo's ever made... Then they were made in australia for a while and some were good but most were not - the ones sold in France were unbalanced and nowhere near the quality of the original which was such a shame..

I see similar things happening now with cheap chinese copies of established designs and to be honest i do worry that this may harm the future production of the higher quality products.

Sometimes it seems that people are too interested in making money from joe public consumers rather than providing the juggling comunity with the good quality props they require and need to perform etc.

I have much more i could of said but im somewhat biting my toungue here.....

That said i reitterate that Epics are NOT knockoffs and are a very good quality diabolo in their own right and deserve the attention they are getting.

Sorry to go so far off topic but in sure the originator of the epic will agree with my setiments.
I know i also sell diabolo's and have my own preference but ive tried to be completely impartial here - hope i have been so??

Ok rant over

Very impressive!  not my cup of tea but I can appreciate the amount of time invested in that..

On the subject of world records, I remember from my youth watching the great pole vaulter Sergei Bubka break his own record many many times but always by only 1cm when he could clearly jump higher.... does that make him bad??

Gear / Re: sundia fly bearing problem
« on: January 31, 2011, 09:44:54 AM »
Sometimes the small metal washers on the Fly (the ones that sit between the hub and bearing axle) get bent inwards so they are no longer flat - usually from overtightening.  Simple fix is to flip these over 180 degrees so the bend is now away from the bearing and re-assemble.  Should work fine again...
