It's all looking mighty fine though

Gear / Re: Carbon sticks w/ silicon grips?
« on: August 11, 2010, 08:17:05 PM »
I'm currently using henrys carbons (black plastic tip shorts) with silicone grips. You just need to pad out the carbon rod a bit to fit the grips to them. I used some electrical tape and foam.

I also drilled out the grip ends so the knot doesn't get stuck and can freely rotate.

Greets from Suisse

Haha I really enjoyed that... Its all about the ear slack!!

Yes its quite an old video so most of them will seem pretty basic these days, but there are a few forgotten ideas in there and some nice variations.

Here is a temporary link (right click, save as please)

I think the one that Jem is talking about is an eiffel on each diabolo not just one.
Bet you can't do that langley, not with a clean entry/exit anyway.
I bet he knows a man who can though ....

« on: April 12, 2010, 09:26:52 PM »
Hi, the single (1xbearing) version of the shining uses the exact same axle set(s) as the Fly diabolo.

I don't know which part got broke, but the full set (everything except the cups) is here
If you just need individual bits instead of the full set, just let me know what you need.

Sorry if its confusing - I have a lot of updating on the website to do to get the correct compatibility in the item descriptions.
Just to clarify - there are 3 different axle sets (fixed axle / 1x bearing axle / triple bearing axle) and all 3 can be fitted to either the Fly / Shining and the new Nimble diabolo as all 3 have the same cup to axle attachment design.
The Sun's are fixed axle only and use their own different cup attachment (only the main fixed axle roller part is the same).

Lol that's an S-Fan not fan - you can keep S-Fan 360s going for ever (or until you get bored of them) so any record is pretty pointless really.

Once did over 30mins of continuous 360 S-Fans one very bored day (didnt count).

Nice work

Hi - you need to remove the retaining clip - carefully ease it out all the way around then the black hub will slide off easily.

Something like this?

I wouldn't recommend it - unless you find a way to make them really strong

Gear / Re: Sundia sun -- 255 g, 275 g or 290 ?
« on: October 07, 2009, 11:10:10 PM »
I use the 275g version myself - the thicker cups just feel way more solid and spin longer.  You can add the black axle as well to get 260g

Gear / Re: What should I choose
« on: October 07, 2009, 11:06:51 PM »
People seem to be forgetting that the Shining is not only bearing.  You can use a Shining in fixed axle and it plays very much like a Sun.

I have access to all the diabolos and IMO the 275g Sun is by far the best fixed axle diabolo I have ever used.  The shining is very versatile - fantastic bearing diabolo and very very good fixed axle too.
