Gear / Is it worth buying for ME
« on: January 08, 2013, 09:09:58 PM »
So I buy 5 of every diabolo, I have 5 taibolos, 5 sundia suns, soon to be 5 finesse and also soon to be 5 Epic diabolos (this is excluding the 3 sundia shining triple bearings that I have got) to complete my collection of pro diabolos I have been thinking of buying some Circus diabolos, more precisely 5 white Circuses with the white Ultra light kit. however I was wondering if it is worth it, I know most of the awesome French diaboloists have learned to do 4D with Circuses and that is exactly what I want it for, however what other good thing are circuses good at compared to all other diabs? I think I will but them as a collectors item rather than to actually use them but still I want to know if there is anything that circuses are good at compared to other diabolos, I know they have different mounting kits ant et cetera however what I mean is a unique thing about the diabolo, like finesse diabolos are good for integrals and diabolo high, Epic diabolos and Taibolos are good for multiple diabolos because of their shape and lightweight, I know sundia suns are good because they are a nice and heavier weight which means they are more stable at low speeds and I know sundia shining triple bearing diabolos are good for vertax because of the bearings, their large axle and they are good for yo-yo stlye tricks because of how long they spin.

Gear / Taibolo stick mod
« on: December 14, 2012, 07:21:31 PM »
Okay, so if you ever had Mr. Babache carbon sticks then you would know what I mean when I say the word "problem"
If you do not know what I mean then let me show you some pictures. It starts off with this:

a perfectly normal stick without the Mr. Babache caps, however after a few months this happens:

A part of the end breaks off and you are left with it stuck in the cap, unless you manage to take it out. From now on you are running on borrowed time until this happens:

Now your stick is truly buggered, you can't use it, it's the end.

You see I love Taibolo sticks, they seem good for everything, they're strong, light, good for vertax and integrals, not too short or too long and with then you are able to do "pull the string" tricks unlike with Mr. Babache sticks.  However they have one flaw which is the one reason I use Mr. Babache sticks, and that is is because of the caps, they provide a ledge for when you do any start involving a trapeze, for me that helps me with my 4D start. I know you could probably just buy new sticks but I don't want to put up with it any longer, I have an idea.

My idea is to create a combination of the 2 sticks. I compared the "caps" of the Mr. Babache sticks and the diameter of the Taibolo sticks and I found that it fits until it meats the *thread like this:

My idea is to drill through the "caps" till all of the thread is gone and then just fit it one, maybe using some glue. As you can see here the thread goes all the way through:

So my question to you is, what do you think? I will probably do this over the weekend so if I do it then I will just post the results here.

* when I say thread, I do not mean diabolo string, I mean the spiralling "blades" that go all the way down the caps and on the top part of the sticks.

Videos / New video by Krauser

A new video from Krauser, as the title suggests. There is some amazing 4D endurance from what I think is the ILC diabolo crew (correct me if I am wrong):

Tricks / 3D behind the back
« on: November 30, 2012, 11:20:39 PM »
Hello, I just learned this trick yesterday, this was my 5th proper run:

3D behind the back

I was wondering who can do this and what starts do people use.
Also what tricks can people do behind the back? I tried a 42 here.

Gear / Ultra light kit
« on: November 30, 2012, 05:58:24 PM »
Okay, this may seem like a daft question but I was confused while reading a thread and I just wanted to know this quite quickly. The question is:

Is there a difference between the JC Finesse Ultra solution kit and the Mr. Babache Finesse Ultra solution kit?
If so what is it and which one would you recommend?

I saw different images and I just wanted some quick help.

Thanks in advance - Ronnie

So I borrowed the 4D start idea from the MyDiabolo Vulcan video and tried to come up with a 5D start idea. I also had a go at the 4D start.

General / 4 Low progress
« on: November 08, 2012, 10:10:20 PM »
Just showing some progress at my juggling club after 3.5 months of training.
Shame that the beginning got cut off, it was a bit longer.
4D Progress

Hello people of the internet, this is the first topic I posted and I wanted to kick thing off with what I think is a 3D in 1 hand world record:
3 tricks, 1 spot

Also had a bit of a problem with 4D recently. I couldn't get a single good run, literally for 1 week my best run was 3OTT. However I'm getting back in form and better than before. Any advice on longer runs?
