1 Collaboration Video / Re: Collab 2020
« on: September 12, 2020, 11:01:14 PM »
With everything that happened this year and also the multiple quarantine collab videos done already,
I think most of us completely forgot about this haha.

I'm really up to send clips if we find an editor so idk who'd want to edit this year.  :o

First trick got the most out of me…
But all the other tricks are definitely really good too, also loved the stick manipulation at 3:21.
And last but not least, the filming and editing make this a treat to watch.

I don't know what we should do…

If we repost instagram tricks how do we really repost them ? Only on the forum (where the video embedding is not working all the time), on the YouTube channel or both ?

A lot of the current instagram videos are reposted on the diabolo_world account (not always with the owner's permission... :-|) and other similar accounts.
Shouldn't we make a dcavotw account on instagram ?  :o

Gear / Re: How often do you buy new diabolos?
« on: July 25, 2018, 12:42:25 PM »
I use DEOS and have to buy a pair per year because they become too flexible with time. I think this pattern is very much widespread. I wonder if Trash's DEOS were becoming flexible this fast...
Trash's DEOS were becoming flexible after 5 years….

Unknown guy:  1:16:25 (same thing)

Li Yi-Hua (TIDT 2016 champion):  1:38:05 (mainly his 3d :o and also 1d)

Jackie (EJC 2017 diabolo battle winner):  1:55:10 (insane 2d suicides,3d and crazy 4low fts :o)

David Chang (the dancing guy :-D, AIDC multiple times medalist):  2:07:20 (mainly his crazy 3low tricks and 4low fts :o)

Completely missed the thread too  :-|, I’m for option B a year without the collaboration is unthinkable in my opinion and I hope we’ll get enough participants in a short time period.
But I still have questions remaining who’s the editor ? And where do we sent our videos ?  :o :-D

Tricks / Re: Diabolo Records
« on: December 03, 2017, 02:42:37 PM »
For solo records we count the number of catches until 250, and above that, it will be a duration. (JISCON Rules, so I don't know if it's applicable for diabolo :o)

@Pau If you want perfectly balanced sticks with an optimal length and weight or if you like to do a lot of integrals and other suicides, than they're a very good choice.
But the only bad thing about them is that they break really easily. I bought 3 pairs and in less than a year I broke all of them !!
So it's up to you. But if you want durable sticks, I would never recommend them to you or anyone else. Because from that point of view, they're really crap and I choose my words carefully.

Name: Damian Kubitzki
Location: Liège, Belgium
Age: 17
Website: /

1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
Almost 8 years with a less active period of nearly 2 years.

2. What or who got you started?
My mum bought one diabolo one day and I don’t exactly know why anymore and since then I've never really stopped to play with it.

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
The infinity of possibilities you have and the sensation you feel when you achieve something you were not able to do before.

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
It really depends if I'm in an inspiration mood or not. I'd say something like 2 hours a day when I have a concrete idea in mind.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
Yes, I've already done some street acts and other random shows.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ?
Only clubs and balls, but just a little.

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
Epic A-Dream, MB Finesse G2 or G3 with kit evo 1 and 7. Deos sticks or MB Extreme. Henry yellow string.

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
At the moment 3 low (I was recently able to do it :)) and 4 high (I don’t know how guys can have that skill so constantly?). But most of the time I play with 1 because you have more possibilities with it. And it’s the skill I control the most.

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
Some tricks I can do that no one has ever done or integrals, integrals and integrals!!!

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
Robin Spinelli doing the martian at the EJC in Bruneck. Just doing 5 low like it's nothing and he had never failed he’s 4 low before being thrown the fifth one which is even crazier.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
Some 3 low tricks, 4 high (also 4 low but just for fun) and some integrals and other suicide wizardry.

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?
There are so many. :o
Eljas Aalto, Joona Muistola, Arvi Yrjölä, Henry Kangas, The Bergo’s, The Sharpe’s, The Chauzy’s, Clément Lulé, William Gilbert, Alistair Girardot, Cyrille, Gregoire, Arthur Brebant, Victor Leroux, Petit Lu, Sebastian Haushofer, Pranay Werner, Serjej , Dominik Lüthi, Jordan Atz, Valerian Kapeller and Tim Schulze.
As you can see, a lot of people. ;)
