General / Sundia Shining Noise
« on: June 02, 2016, 01:57:49 PM »
Hey!

I have been using my Sundia shining triple bearing Diabolo for quite a bit now (2 months) and I have noticed a very significant change in the loudness and smoothness. It is way louder and it seems to be gripping the string more (May just be dodgy string).

I dosed the bearings in some WD 40 silicone lube and it seemed to work a tiny bit but not very well, any help is appreciated thanks.

Gear / Axel Shifting around

Hey diabolo.ca!

Recently I have noticed my Sundia shining's bearing/Axel (I don't know what the difference is but it's just the big metal but in the middle of the diabolo in between the red and black bits) has been shifting from left to right and making a clicking noise.

I'm not sure if this is just meant to be so it doesn't get to tight or if something is wrong. I don't think it's really affecting anything performance wise but it's just kinda annoying.

Any help would be great thanks.

Hey guys!

Me and my friends have both bought diabolos and made sure they were very good.

We bought a Sundia Shining for me and a Cyclone Quartz 2 for my friend and we love them both.

He was going to get a Hurricane from juggle dream but he stuck with the cyclone.

So what diabolo do you think he should have got out of the 2 diabolos and what is your favourite triple bearing diabolo?

I'd just like to see people's choices. :D

General / Awesome Juggling Site
« on: April 14, 2016, 12:46:25 PM »
Hey guys!

I have a circus site to recommend to anyone looking for some great gear.

http://www.cascadejuggling.com/contact

I ordered a Sundia Shining from them and they had it delivered ASAP. Then it broke about 2 months later, emailed them for about 1 hour and they already sent me a new part!

Awesome service, great website, great products.

Would recommend this site to anyone looking to buy a diabolo/circus

1. the answer to question number 2 should answer this question, too.
2. just get an open-end wrench to tighten the screws in the cups.
3. i've had my sundias for a long time now, and i never had to replace anything. if so, the shop you bought the diabolos may also have the fitting axle. if not, there are plenty of shops who have. (just replacing the bearing is probably more work and will cost you more than a new axle)
4. mister babache is great, and if you play your string right i should last quite some time. because of that, price should not be something worth considering when choosing a string. i'd recommend getting some bits of string from different manufacturers and just try them out. in the end, you are the person who uses that string, so you should be comfortable with it.

hope that helps, Jannis!

If you go look at my latest post you'll see what happened :( ;_; :-(

Gear / Broken Sundia shining ;_;
« on: March 15, 2016, 08:03:08 AM »
Hey guys. :(

Recently I was tightening my Sundia shining on the bits on the side of the cup and a tighten to much and snapped the screw.  It now looks like this.

The rest of the screw is stuck in the nut.

I am basically crying right now as I got it about a week ago and now it's broken ;_;.

I have no idea how to fix this, I can't get the screw out of the nut and I don't know how to get the screw out of the bearing.

PLEASE HELP THIS IS URGENT! ;_;

Thanks if you can help me fix this tragedy. :( I was meant to go busking with my m8 this weekend. :(

To answer question #4, I would HIGHLY recommend Taibolo strings. Some diabolo strings are slippery when you first use them, before the grip sets in. Others have a good grip right away but snap pretty easily. With Taibolo strings, you get the best of both worlds. Good luck with that.

Hmmm. I can't find any? I can only find Henry's and Mister Babache string? Could you send me a link please? Thanks :D

You are an absolute God! :D Thankyou soooo much, these answers were perfect. Just when do I know to tighten the things on the side? THANKYOU!! :D

PS. Henry's diabolo string is very expensive but is it good and worth it?

Hey! I'm new to this site and quite new diabolo in general but I purchased myself a  Blue Sundia Shining triple bearing and I LOVE it! I've got 4 questions.

1.I have had it for about a week and I've been using A LOT, and I recently noticed it's vibrating a bit more than before. It's not really effecting any tricks except for finger grinds as it harder to control. I'm not sure if it is the string or the diabolo itself. The string is a bit frayed and loosing most of its colour in the middle of the string. Could someone please give me a hand. :-D thanks. EDIT: It IS NOT the string I tried another string and it still vibrated the same.

 2. I heard that you have to tighten the side bits of the diabolo or something every now and again, could someone please tell me how and when should I tighten them?

3.How often should I replace the bearing/axle in the diabolo? And which one would I need to buy.

4. What is the best brand of string to buy? I know that Mr Babache has great string but it is extremely expensive. I think I am going to get some 10m Ultra-Spin string. Is that good?

Thankyou!!! :-D Sorry for all the questions by the way xD
