Gear / Re: Taibolo Light-weight

Hey mate,

They do play like a light V2

They spin very well, almost as much as a V2

I have not found the light weight limiting on any tricks

Overall its a good Diabolo, but you definitely want to suck it up and pay 10 more bucks for the V2.

I would recommend the Light-Weight to someone who is only just starting out and wants a quality diabolo to actually get somewhere with (unlike the very cheap and nasty versions around at the moment for $10 which dont hold proper spin, dont have proper axels and fall apart unexpectedly)

The Glary is a little bit lighter than the V2, but thy still rock. I just like the look of solid colours on stage.

Hope this helps buddy, If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask!

They could make the cups more durable on hard surfaces, like the henrys. When i play on the street small pieces from the rims come off.
When the diabolo touches my arm it scratches my skin.
Kids asked me 'do you have a cat?'. -  No, i play diabolo.

All of my Taibolo's edges aren't sharp. Maybe it was a batch you got that they didn't smooth out.

I found with new Yoho's they used to cut me up. I know people who sand paper the edges of Yoho's before selling them.

Hey Guys,

Figured I would start this now because I'm going to send off a letter to them for the future Taibolo V3.

Is there anything you would like to change?

Are you happy with the weight ?

Would you like to see tuning kits available? Which ones?

And go!

Try a buffer like this.

Or alternatively get a cloth and use some of this on it

Or use this to time travel back to the point before you dropped the diabolo with this

Already going through the motions of becoming a vendor =)

It seems there is a lot of confusion regarding the Taibolo stuff. I have researched the product and I also talk to the people who make them (unfortunately I dont speak taiwanese, so I go through different means)

I know, Old thread (but I havent been here for a while)

Have you considered the Light-Weight Taibolo?

I have some info here-

As a light weight diabolo, I think they are great! They react really well to high-speeds and they dont wobble!

I use them for workshops.

The Glary Taibolo is 245grams - where are the V2 Super Taibolo is 255grams. - You can always get heavier washers? I'm thinking about doing that to my set of V2's.

They both share the same axel and hubs.

I do understand the feeling of 10 grams lighter- it is just enough to register a difference.

The moar you know!

hey guys!

long time no post!

I havent given up on diabolo at all, and heres a recent show to prove it.

Catapult Festival 2009 Gala Night - Scooby Diabolo

Not overly crazy stuff, and i had to miss out a lot of combos because i actually had a fractured right foot at the time.  - Also word of warning, dont perform with a black diabolo if you want to be able to see it when you throw it up.

Anywho, let me know what you guys think!

Ill be buying a video camera today so expect a bunch more videos from me

What made me happy:

Meeting everyone
Watching Jake eat cornflakes and Cola out of my superspin
Scooby - He is amazing and all his tricks are so sensual. The "Y**r m*m" (Can't be typed due to how amazing it is) would be trick of the decade.
Ben - Jesus Christ! (Not talking about Scooby) He learns so much, so fast!
Meeting, Lachlan (Bizzat) and G-man and then renamed G-spot.
Watching the lamest funny game on earth.. Mafia.
Getting Xtremes discounted from $35 to $15 from the awesome people at juggleart.
Meeting Aaron, realising how quiet he is and giggling at his ultramega drinking straw.
Having the best room in the backpackers and yelling at people who passing in the street.
Not being dead after approx 3.5L of energy drinks on Saturday
People thinking I didn't suck at the renegade when I did.
Getting three high solid
Almost pulling 4440 at the renegade
Passing 5d with Scooby
Getting a standing ovation in the public show. And getting so many congrats/compliments after
Seeing Jake with wet hair.
Speaking "lulspeak" in real life
Making people in the backpackers watch "TWO GIRLS, ONE CUP" and filming their reactions. Including a 13 year old girls.
Lighting my superspin on fire for a few seconds
Doughnuts, really, really good doughtnuts

And so, so, so much more.

Missing out on seeing a chair being lifted nipples.
A blister/rip the size of a 5c piece right where my stick should be.
It not being longer.

All in all, OH GOD.

I rather enjoyed the lulzspeak too =D

the chairs lifted with nipples wasnt as good as it sounds... still pretty crazy though

Seeing you diabolo has made me want to train harder now.

3d will be coming soon, and i think i should start posting in here again!
