where do you start? i can do the basic slacks but isnt there any tutorial for some basic yoyo/diabolo moves?

a cool video and thread a while back on some basic yo-yo tricks adapted for diabolo. It's probably a good place to start with getting your fingers involved. You could also try changing your normal mount or magic knot tricks so that you hold the string with your fingers instead of wrapping it around the stick or diabolo and just seeing how you end up. If it comes out in a mess, try to figure out how you could move the diabolo, string or sticks to make it into less of a mess.
Probably the best way to go about inventing some more advanced stuff would be to buy a yo-yo, learn some tricks and then try to find ways to adapt them to a diabolo. You could probably skip this step and watch yo-yo videos and tutorials instead, though.
And of course, once you come up with something cool,
submit it for Video Of The Week so that the rest of us can see it.
