could be. But oddballs are also planning on releasing their own brand of diabolo product. My friend Rodrigo and Grant Goldie was telling me that when he was in brighton the owner was raving about it.
Some Craic!

^ Now that Ronnie, is what you call a Taibolo knock off. Outrageous that they can get away with it but decency doesn't come into it when they're getting everything produced for pennies in China.

Yup sure, I product tested them myself for a little more than 2 years.

Have you played with one? We had a few at the BJC but have changed the material a bit since then. I would definitely say it's a 5" diabolo but it might be better to have a play with them (or see one in person) first before you pass judgement.

Oh of course, sorry, I must have got confused. I see it now it bears no resemblance to anything and is a completely original design. I also hope it lives up to the incredible standards of the rest of the Juggle dream range.

Indeed, it definitely bears a resemblance to a diabolo, 100%.

Again, play with it first, then you are entirely entitled to your opinion, it's actually quite nice.

For me it sounds pretty strange to have beta testing for over two years. There definitely needed to be some flaws to begin with. So my question is, is it just patched up to look like diabolo or has the process really made the thing really work like diabolo should?

When you can make working diabolo using two onions and a pencil, the two years beta test just sounds really really over doing it.

Ha, I think I'd prefer apples over onions.

Two years could have been a lot shorter but shipping took a lot of time. Getting the correct material seemed to take the longest time. Also though it took 2 years it wasn't 8 hours a day 5 days a week, it would be a case of get the sample, play with it for a few days, figure out the adjustments and email them back. then wait x amount of time for the next sample, realise something else needs tweaking, repeat process.

I don't believe for a second it's been tested for anywhere near 2 years.

Humour me and answer a few questions on a public forum.

Did you design it?
If not who did?
Where is it produced?
What style/styles is the model designed for?
Will it be more reliable than a Cyclone?

'Two years could have been a lot shorter but shipping took a lot of time. ' , -Funty

For me this sounds that it has been produced for pennies in China like LZ said.

other strange thing is that http://www.oddballs.co.uk/juggle-dream-typhoon-diabolo-p-4012.html doesn't tell the exact size of it even it has been designed and tested for two years. How in the world you managed to make one without exact measurements?

Spec:
Diabolo Size: Jumbo
Diameter: ***mm
Width: ***mm
Weight: 240g

I don't want to get too much into the argument but from the pics (and from real life) I can tell you that the diabolo looks much more like the clear sundia suns bit with a more taibolo-style axle, that's all I can say really.

This is feeling a little argumentative -

It was designed by Oddballs, I had input.
Made in China.
Style - All rounder? I found it nice for 1 and 2 - I'll happily send out some to people for an objective review.

Also try it.
