I've also used them for a bit and yes, they're close-ish to a Taibolo. Quite light and cheap.
How do these compare to the circus?
My only issue with the circus and Suns, are the weight.I'm looking for a light weight diabolo, similar to a taibolo. I say similar, as Taibolos don't seem to feel stable enough.
I dont quite know about the big top, since I havent tried it. But if you buy the typhoons you wont regret it I prefer cups that arent super rubbery, so the circus and big tops wouldnt be fitting for me.
The typhoons are surprisingly stable! Better than my sundia suns, finesse g3 or g4, and basically any other diabolo ive tried
I'll offer the other side of personal preferences - the typhoons are NOT better than my sundia suns. One of these days I'll be free enough to finish writing my review of them.
As for me, I would recommend Sundia Shining Crystal with competition fixed axles. Their weight is 250 g, they look similar to the typhoons and are also really stable...
Maybe you have the standard fixed axle. The competition fixed axle is about 10 g lighter..
