Best Diabolo in General?

So I use a Henry Circus Diabolo, and its a good diabolo dont get me wrong. I can't do tricks like finger grinds cause of the axel. I also dont understand everything about one way bearings or w/e they are called. Can someone explain to me all the little things about diabolo's? I would love to learn it. I've been looked on the forums for info, but sadly somethings seem outdated, or just weren't explained very well. I also wanted to know, what are they easiest diabolos to do infinite suicides with? I've been trying to do them, and it doesnt seem to work no matter what, and I think its cause of the diabolo.

It isn't because of the diabolo. I thought that same way. I saved up. Bought a new diabolo. Turns out, it was me, not the diabolo.

Henrys Circus are the best diabolos to use outside. They have a really good material for the cups that can take hard hits on the ground consistently.

I've always used them and they're great for this.

However I think that Taibolos are the best actual diabolo but they're not great outside cause the plastic cups get scratched too easily.

If you don't already, I would recommend just purchasing some plastic wide axle kits for your henrys to make them lighter and just use that.

i agree with richard, i personally prefer taibolos, but for outside especially high patterns are circus diabolos (with tk2 kit) best because of their weight.
for suicides/integrals i would recommend taibolos with carbon sticks .....

however i play 1,2,3 diabolos (every kind of tricks) with taibolos .... they fit for all kinds .... but circus also do

i dont like sundias , because of their axels....

epics are also really comfortable to play !!!

Re reading through it all, Finger grinds are also possible with Your Henrys, as I have one too. It takes a while to get.
Bearings are like this. They can rotate one way, like say. Its a Spool on a pencil. It spins. But it doesn't turn the other way. So when you spin it, It doesn't grab the string, for less friction and thus longer spin.

Again with the Infinite Suicides, No diabolo makes it easier, I went through what you did. and I wasted extra cash, as it didn't help. Playing with my Taibolos, Circus, Sundia Suns, and Epics. Circuses actually make Infinte suicides easier compared to the rest imo. Taibolos are most comfortable, epics are most stable and long spinning, and Sundia Suns are inbetween Epics and Taibolos. Comfortable, but not as comfortable as the taibolo, and Stable, but not as stable as the Epics.

In my opinion, Epic Juggling diabolos are the best. They are fine for every trick, no matter if it's with 1, 2, 3 or even more diabolos. I also like Sundia Sun diabolos, they are without bearings and are great to play with as well.

I think if you have to chose between Taibolos and Epic Juggling diabolos, I would recommend the Epics.

So my henry circus hasn't been modified a all, and in all honesty I'm not sure how to modify it? Could guys explain how to that? Ik you have to take it apart, but I'm afraid to take it apart and then lose/forget how to put it back to together. What are some good accessories to buy so I could do finger grinds, and make the diabolo lighter? And I would like to try taibos... they are made out of plastic? Intersting. Do they break easily, and maybe you guys could send me a link to a reliable retailer that sells them? I sorta wanna try them :3 Thanks for the advice guys. Another quick question, are lighter diabolo's better for suicides?

I would say lighter diabolos are easier as it's a bit less tiresome. And the unmodded curcus, is a very great diabolo still.
Look up Henry's tuning kits. Those are what you're looking for to lighten your diabolo etc.

As for Taibolos, renegadejuggling has them for a great price!

Diabolos are made up of a few different components; the axle, the cups, the washers (plates on the cups) and the metal bar connecting it all through the middle. Modifications largely involve just changing the axle; Henry's has three or four kinds available you can see for yourself on whatever website you're ordering from. Plastic cups tend to be lighter than rubber ones; for suicides it's largely your sticks that will make the difference. You don't strictly need light sticks for suicide tricks and other ones of that nature but it's a world of difference in difficulty.

I've yet to try Epics but I use taibolos; The axle's slightly wider than the newer stock Henry Circus ones, though as a friend of mine has owned both I can say that it's honestly just going to be a case of preference. All in all any kind of prop whether it's diabolos, clubs or hoops,  I'd recommend you see if you can get a loan from someone to get a feel for them before making a decision.

Sounds good thanks guys. Sadly I'm the only diaboloist that has tried to get better so not alot of my friends have tried to get better. What sticks are good to use for suicides then? I have aluminum ones. and they are really light... Sometimes its hard to swing them lol. Is that good thing?

Which pair do you have? Henry's Alu? Those work nice for me.
I Prefer Deos Carbons, due to the thickness of the stick and a tad more weight than the average light carbon stick. But lighter than most Alu.

They should be fine if you feel they are easy to control!

Yeh they are the henry Alu. I find it hard to do tricks like Genocides and Infinite Sucidies because the stick seems so light... Idk maybe cause I'm new with the sticks.

No worries, light sticks move easier. Learning Infinite Suicides with my Xtremes was hell, due to the heavy weight. All suicides became so easy when I switched to lighter sticks.
Hmm. I guess this is a true question of preference!

Normal Diabigs...or GIDs if you have the wrists of a weakling.

But I have been out of training for forever atm so haven't tried epics or even properly the Vulcans I have.

I see preference. Yeah I agree. However, what really is easier to use? Lighter or Heavier? I'm having trouble swinging the stick around sometimes cause it feels to light, or it just feels like i doesnt have enough momentum. But idk. Infinite sucidie are hard for me. Idk what im doing wrong. I've used the trick archive here, but can't get a feel for it.... T_T Idk what im doing wrong.

For the majority of suicides the weight of the diabolo and the angle you release at will carry the entire move; you won't need to try and force momentum with your sticks. You've probably already seen a few videos but I might as well talk you through what I did to learn infinites as I only figured them out recently having failed to understand what to do for a very long time.

First of all, wrap your diabolo and then pull your driving stick up just above shoulder height, and let the diabolo fall off. That's pretty much your starting position; how high you hold your stick depends on how long your string is for the most part.

Now do it a second time, watching your offhand stick. See when it swings to 3 or 9 on the clock face positions (Depends on if you're a lefty or righty)? That's when you're supposed to flick your stick underneath the diabolo to wrap it again.

Finally, during the wrap, pull directly up and wait a moment for the diabolo to slide down. If you don't know what it's supposed to feel like, go back to the first step and try that a few times. When you see (Looking at your offhand stick) or feel the right position (It'll tighten up then loosen), wrap again.

Repeat until you've completed the desired amount of infinites, or get bored. You can actually build up speed with an infinite because of how it wraps; you don't need any momentum at all to start. The big problem for me was getting used to the pause. Wrap, pause, wrap (Pull up!), pause, wrap (Pull up!), pause, etc.

Another tip, as doing it will increase speed, don't start off with a lot of speed! Just barely enough, so the diabolo is stable works perfectly.
trust me, the sticks could just take some getting used to. Suicides are tricky at first, until you get the right feel.
and with Suicides, lighter touch is better. Going to hard, can make the sticks swing way to fast, making catches much harder

if you find that your sticks are moving to fast its because your moving your hands to fast or you might be too jerky. your equipment is only as good as your technique!

i wouldnt recommend getting carbon sticks if you think that your aluminiums are too light!!  get yourself a pair of Mr. Barbache Xtremes, they are a bit heavier so fly in the air a bit slower, i used them when i was learning suicides and integrals and they were great. but moved onto carbons as my hands couldnt take any more damage from the heavier metal!
