Firstly, if you don't already do circles, learn them: A series of throws and catches, each throw caught near the right (strong hand) stick, then rolled down the string, and thrown from near the left stick. Keep the throws fairly low - somewhere around chest/head height.
Now do the same movements with the string wrapped around the axle (as per Chinese whips).
If you can already Chinese whip, you should get it quite quickly.
