I don't know much/anything about Henry's Vision but typically you don't 'need' a certain type of diabolo to do any trick (with a few exceptions regarding fixed axles and flys), however some diabolos make things more difficult than others. Different weights etc.
When you say Vertex, you're either referring to Vertax, where the diabolo spins vertically or Vortex, the trick with 2 diabolos. There are tutorials on both of these around. If you've had a look at them and still aren't sure, record a vid of your attempts and post it here and we can give you advice.
