So sitting on the train home after a flight from Belfast, I figured I might as well do the old "High - Low - Goal - Crush - Bane" thingy.
Highs:
- A great venue for the convention, and a great place to stay during closed hours
- Stayed in Ireland for 5 days without experiencing rain even once
- Met Graham and even got to jam with him a bit even though he was running around being an important organizer
- Smoking close to a million cigarettes with Tim Schulze
- Managed to not drown myself in Guinness and Buckfast completely
- Improved on both my 7 balls and 4 diabolo hover start!
- The whole freakin galla show
- Meeting a lot of Irish diaboloists I had never heard about before
Lows:
- Completely missed out on the sunday's games and fight night tournament due to sleeping late
- Renegade ended too early for me to demonstrate my 30 minute routine of props taped together
- Being asked about 40 times if I was performing in the galla show, but having to tell people that it was Tim who was performing
Goals:
- Actually try to progress and get a bit of motivation to practice juggling and diabolo further... Check!
- Don't drink myself into the state of not being able to juggle due to hangovers... Semicheck!
- Attend a workshop... a very "devilstickdiaboloing at the same time" check!
- Don't scare people away from being interested in the Danish Juggling Convention next year... Check?
Crushes:
- The handsome German phenomenon that is Tim and his galla show act
- Julian Sæthers 7 ball 7 up 360 and 9 ball flash on stage
- Lewis Kennedy and Jon Peat passing... need I say more?
Bane:
- The renegade ending so very very early due to the venue having to close down
All in all a fantastic convention, and I'll be happy to come to Ireland again sometime!
