like i said in a different thread (well, Sean_ posted quoted me), you're going to need to do port forwarding to get the max speeds out of torrents. so look in your router's instruction manual and forward ports, OR enable DMZ mode on the router, OR tough it out with slow speeds.

I'm not having much luck with videos lately....

Doesn't work for me in Azureus, Tomato, Bittorrent or Bits On Wheels.
I give up.

both of you, try utorrent or bitcomet. those seem to be the only working ones so far, because they can connect to peers without a tracker.

edit: here is the Yousendit.com link: http://s6.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1MQGSOM65SKIG2AHAIU5DJ3FQZ

that is for people who reallllly cant download it any other way....OR people who are going to get the file and then seed ASAP. either way, i'd appreciate it. there are a limited number of downloads....so fight for it!

OK, just as soon as either of them release a Mac version.

I've YouReceivedit, cheers Matt_, and am *trying* to seed it via Azureus.

i think tomorrow (it's 2:20 AM now btw) i will be uploading this torrent on a GOOD tracker, and the combination of that plus the yousendit link will make sure that everyone who wants this, gets it. more updates as i receive them.

Well, I left the computer on over night as I got it to work. And when I return to the computer after a night of sleep I find the computer in log-in mode. Apperantly an update had been downloaded automatically which required the computer to restart... Gotta love XP...

27.7% done

Now I've blown off some steam, so I dont mind deletage of this post at all.

Thanks again Matt_ for this file btw, looking forward to it!

ok, promise fulfilled: a good tracker!

(copy/paste the entire link, dont click on it)

http://bt.jvnv.net/torrents/Hall-Yabe_Workshop_(Portland_2005).avi.torrent

just delete the torrent you had, DONT DELETE THE FILE! and just load this torrent. it has the same hash, but a better tracker. it will continue off your uncompleted file, and should be fast.

I´ve tried connecting with both utorrent and bittorrent and nothing happens except it says:?time left 0ul 0dl.

What could be the problem
(sorry if it´s obvious, I don´t understand computers very well)?

If you are behind a firewall or router they could be blocking your clients access I'm not familiar with the bittorrent client or utorrent but it sounds like they are blocking its access.

it also can be your ISP--a lot of ISPs are blocking ports used for P2P software. in the case of bittorrent, it's 6881-6999. definitely tell your client NOT to use those ports.

oh, and make sure to get the updated torrent. the old ones are no good.

Thanks for replying.

I think it could be the router, but I don´t understand it so I will have to get my dad to help me with that:(

I have no idea what an ISP is but I changed the number 6881 to 6661. That didn´t help though.
What number is it supposed to be to work?

It's best to use a listen port between 49152 and 65534 because they're classed as "Dynamic and/or Private Ports" by IANA, so nothing else should be using them by default and they're not the standard ones blocked by ISPs or trackers, but you can enter any other port you wish. It's strongly recommended that you don't use any between 1-5000, 6881-6999 or any listed on this page to avoid compatability problems. Again, it's best to choose a number between 49152 and 65534.

ISP's are internet service providers such as: Blueyonder, NTL, AOL...

What ISP are you with? Then I might be able to help.
