Tijn, I don't know about your logs, but mine show number of *requests* rather than number of complete *downloads*. I'll often notice a video gets, say, 486 hits, but takes up only 0.21% of bytes downloaded. Usually there's an idiot on the end of a mouse, who won't stop clicking. ;-)

Thanks for the reply Void, I know that not every hit is a completed download, but this is what the webalizer said:

#--Hits----------------KBytes------------------URL
1--5340 (19.33%) | 276883219 (74.51%) | /video/circusplanet2005.mp4

We used 45.000 of our 200.000 Mb that month... so it seems that the 5340 downloads had an effect to the bandwidth. I really want to know where that peak comes from... because I don't think some idiot downloaded that same file so many times :P
