Over a month to go but I thought I'd get an idea of the level of interest from yous lot. Im heading over for the start of uni around that date so I will most definitely be inattendance.  Any other takers?

I'm going for the first week. I can't do the second weekend due to uni starting around that time (well, freshers week, and I don't really want to miss out on that...)

Is that for UWE or Bristol uni out of curiousity Tom?  I couldnt go last year because UWE had their freshers week at the same time. Not sure about bristol uni's freshers dates though.

It's for Birmingham uni, actually. It starts on the 25th, so I'll need to get there on the 24th, plus I'll need a day to pack. At least I think that's what they are. If I'm wrong then I can go for the whole time :)

Well, if you're feeling brave, could always go through Clearing and get yourself a nice cushy place at Bristol or Bath ;-)

I should hopefully be there from the Wednesday, catch the fire show hopefully and the main one.  Have to see how things work out with the missus anda trip away before I start my Freshers' Week frivolities (much less drunken fun than the first time around).

Ahem, up top, click on the link...

It's in a field of a Scout camp site.  There's plenty of room for tents or caravans, you can park your car.  There's two large tents and several smaller ones.  A shower and toilet block (if you're that way inclined) and there's a Texaco garage down the road for a few essentials.

You'll love it

Ive wangled the week off from my ever so stressfull job to head up to Bristol. Is it worth going for the whole week/9 days or just a select few? AND what are the facilities like? Now ive been to Glaso before so Im used to some 'bad' loos :!:
Is there a web site with all the answers?

No, there's not a website with any more info than there is on the flier.  There's a building with toilets and showers, and some portable toilets (the trailer type) tend to arrive towards the end of the convention, but apart from that it's just a field.  I've not been to Glasto, but am pretty sure that Bristol is a lot better for toilet facilities!

There's a cafe or two on site, and there's a garage selling food and booze a short walk away if a trip to Tesco is too much effort.

I'm doing all of it.  If that's not an option, the convention is at it's busiest in the second half, so you'll probably want to aim for that end.

I dont think that there are any toilets in existence that are worse than the ones at Glastonbury (with the possible exception of Reading)....not that Ive been to Bristol yet but Im willing to bet they will be a lot better.
