Manchester Convention

Just for those that dont know already - the 8th Manchester Juggling Convention is coming up soon (Saturday 7th October 2006) Chorlton Leisure Centre 10a.m. - 7 p.m, St. Ninian's church hall 7p.m.- Whenever it finishes!

we need to get another convention in ireland soon, it would be cool to have one over here. although i would consider going over to a convention over there in england next year as i would say ill be alot better and i will have enough money to go over for a day or two. does anyone know if there is any conventions near luton or anything as if there was that would be handy as my sister lives over there.

Manchester is a strange convention but I do enjoy it, good to see Nev diabolo, i was hoping to see Paul as well but he wasnt there. I had a good time chatting and diaboloing with MarcBMC,  I cant remember much else except that me and my monkey did renegade, that will teach people not to get up!

CONVENTION REVIEW!

My second manchester convention and it was rather good I thought. Its a odd relaxed duel venue convention [ non of this workshop or actually advertising the convention malarkey that you non mancs bother with. .I think ill go for the old high and low lights layout

Highlights.

As always 2 cup's were showing off some rather nice skills, I enjoyed seeing some of the passing stuff . how did that go? is their a vid of the Leeds convo on the way?

Free beer!!! ow yes being legends that they are, Nigel and the quirkus people spend all the profits on beer for people to drink and mighty fine beer it was.

All in all a good day,  I realized I had to go back to basics with 2 diabolos and stop messing about. As I'm struggling to find a special effects guy to do my video with Ill be hopefully be doing some more long posts as the winter nights draw in and I realise I'm stuck in the sticks without a car so coming soon "why real men modify the equipment" and
"juggling tour of the midlands"

It as a good day indeed - your company always makes me want to add flamboyancy and pirouettes to everything (but I guess thats not my style as I always fail miserably)

The Ponti lot were missed though, I was all set for some intensive 1d genocide / whip sessions.

Seeing Dave pull the 3low rocket start on his first go was pretty impressive, and his around alternate legs switching attempts put a smile on my face.
And 2 cups were insanely good with 3 - Marc's shuffle is looking damn solid, and I think Zack has been practicing again - his shuffle is looking more and more like Pete's (a slightly async sync) and the tricks were flowing solid.  Still, I'm glad to say I was still able to teach them a trick or too (one of which seemed to go down pretty well ). 3 way vertax passing was fun.

Shame Sean_ got there late & I left early - didn't really get much time to chat.

And sorry I didn't make the evening (cant believe I missed free beer)
