I've had a number of friction burns from diabolos next to my eye, loads of string burns, damn they sting!  My worst injury was while chinese accelerating with old string, it suddenly wrapped up on me very fast pulling the metal stick out of my hand and it hitting me in the middle of my forehead, I had a lump there for a few days!  Not quite as bad as some of the injuries ppl have had on here though!

As for wrist pains, I used to get them when I first started, but I think a combination of getting stronger, using finesses instead of harlequins, using shorter sticks and practicing slightly less has helped!

Its the simple things, like dirty string and 2d wrap acceleration.

I'd say you make lemonade out of a lemon and make it a 4th piercing! ;)

No, really - that's an impressive injury.

New TRICK... Stopping a swinging stick with my EYEBALL!!!
« Reply #350 on: October 31, 2008, 10:29:28 PM »
I think I may have just temporarily blinded myself, or at least I feel that way.  I happened to have the bottom of the stick go right into my eye.  I think I will be ok, but I wanted to see what other injuries other people have gotten, or if I am the only dumb ass out there!

Mod move: merged yours with this - now you can see all the injuries.

hehe got my first diabolo injury last night.  Pranged it off my nose practicing vertax.  Got a lovely red mark on the end of my nose.

Just call me Rudolph from now on hehe.

Note to everyone out there:
If you're just starting to practice fans and not very wary of how it revolves, it is recommended to wear a cup.

I rolled on the floor for a couple minutes for that... :-X :-| :'(
