Slow side mini genocide
« on: March 05, 2007, 03:00:45 PM »
Hi, I am working on the "slow side mini genocide" or "wrap mini genocide". I was wonderig if it is better to start it with a left wrap or with a right wrap. When I say start it, it means that I'm going to pull the string first with the left hand, then, for the second mini genocide, with the rignt hand...
I'm right handed.
I know that there are all ready a lot of topics about this trick, but I didn't found the answer of my question in it...

I've always found that a left hand backwrap works easiest to start mine off. Though I can manage it with a right hand backwrap when I bother to concentrate.

And if you found topics on it, why didn't you post in them?
Would a mod move this to one of them then?

Hey!

I'm struggling to even comprehend this trick completely! Looks fun but not the foggiest how to do it!

Is there a step by step anywhere?

Cheers!

I was just thinking about these tricks yesterday and I'd forgotten about these tutorials; Marijn's is really really cool, I'm going to have to learn everything from that video.

.. Whenever I try to do this trick. The diabolo never falls off the string when in the left backwrap.. The stick always passes the string on the wrong side..

Not a class of tricks i've spent much time working on, but I have recently discovered that I can control which wrap I get by making sure the released stick comes around as straight as possible, and twitching the string you're holding either away from you or towards you just as the stick is about to pass it. I get more control that way then by releasing the stick at an angle.
hope that made sense,
