diabolo.ca Poker
« on: July 22, 2007, 09:15:02 PM »
hello to all.

time for some universal truths.

1] diabolo is awesome
2] poker is awesome
3] most of us use msn or could do
4] you can play texas hold-em on msn against friends or randoms.

ergo, I was thinking it would be fun to organise a diabolo.ca msn poker tournament. .It would take abit of effort to find a time enoughs people can do. I was thinking something like 9.O'Clock sunday night. maybe abit later or earlier depending on timezone stuff.

I wanted lots of people to see this so I didn't go offtopic.

please reply, PM or add me if your game.

I'm good for that too if I'm not working.  Although I steer clear of MSN most of the time now so I don't know how this "poker" works on there.

Although an actual physical game would also be awesome, Crawley anyone?  I can bring chips, someone will have to find a table though.

hello fishies

We've got 8 UK players [im assuming] and 3 international players.

http://zone.msn.com/en/texasholdem/default.htm theirs a link for ya.

the format will be. Standard tournament no limit Texas hold-em with 5 minute rounds which increasing blinds.

I've got abit of work to do working out time zones for. Jester, Moffett, Marijn ''S4X''. [help would be appreciated via PM to sort an adequate time for everybody.

If things go to plan we should be playing this sunday for however long people want. and Ill write up a short humorous review on .ca

p.s No worries Ben ill hopefully get a chance to chat on msn with ya to clear anything up but its all abit of fun.

PPS. Id be up for poker at crawley depending on factors such as drunkenness.

I'm not overly keen on that either :( count me in though.

Not so sure about Crawley myself, it's just not a long enough convention for poker.....too much juggling and catching up to be done :)

You can take my place in this game if you would like Tijn, I'm going to be at work until midnight on Sunday so won't be able to sit down with the rest of you at 9 unfortunately.  But I'll endeavour to get in on the action soon for some bragging rights...  (I'm assuming it's 8 to a game?)

Oh darn it, I'm leaving monday morning (rather sunday night) to Athens, so I don't think it'd be such a good idea to play poker instead of getting some sleep :P I have to pass then guys, sorry for the confusion, I should have read Mark's post more carefully.

Hah.  Last Crawley, I struggled to fit anything else in between all the poker games!  I'm quite happy to do the same again this  year.  I'm also up for playing online, but not on MSN, and certainly not using IE (suppose I could try it in a virtual PC, but there have to be better options).  How about on one of the poker sites?  I tend to play on pokerroom but haven't looked at private tournies on there.

As you may/may not have noticed I've been away from the forum for about a week and a half (give or take) and for four days of the I was in Anglesey (blazing sun while the rest of the UK was underwater :D) and we must've played a good twenty hours worth of cards there so I'm definately in shape for it.

I don't know how this whole thing works. Is this some sort of feature withing MSN messanger -I'm a bit out of touch from using a different client. :S

I face-to-face game would be better though!

hello to all.

to test the waters me and john_s just played the first ever .ca poker match. A heads up game, that I'm sure he wont mind me saying I was doing quite well in, until he suckered me into going all in with trips against his full house [doh!].

I or john will hopefully be online tonight and would love to play with more people, to quote john."bit of social time for us, relax and do something other than talk about diabolo"

I think the easyest way is to add me to your msn brund_rules@hotmail.com, then I shall [hopefully my comp permitting] add you to a game waiting to start. we shall fill up the remaining seats with bots or randoms.

I’ve had a few people ask me if we are playing for anything. at the moe its only for bragging rights. buy who knows! Maybe  .ca poker champ under your avatar? Henrys yellow? But lets not run before we can check.
