4 years of grime, 10 years of fade
« on: August 29, 2007, 11:11:35 PM »
So a couple of months ago, the Agent's wife said "You need to clean your diabolos!"

What was she on about? OK, so with only a few summer gigs left, I got around to it......

Put some pom hubs in while I was at it, and oh yeah - that's what colour they used to be......

Take your Debbie Gibson Finesses- 10 years, still rockin', still dreamin' Jimi's Circus still burnin' man!

Hmm.. I should I taken pictures of mine before I cleaned my white G2's. They were very heavy brown and grey coloured and now they look new. I even got a comment "Will, did you buy more new diabolos?! How many do you need?"  :)

on circusplanet.net F.A.Q (martijns part) they say that you have to let the diabolo in hot water first then scrub it with a scrub-sponge with green soap
it worked wel for my circusses (<is that good written?)

So a couple of months ago, the Agent's wife said "You need to clean your diabolos!"
<snip>

Ha, this is funny.  A couple of weeks back the same person berated me of the exact same crime.  Until today, I'd ignored it and had continued to use the same 'white' diabolos.  However, earlier this morning I had an idea and tried cleaning them with the JML Doktor Power+ cleaning product that I once purchased in the local Woolworths and then forgot about.  It turns out that this works quite well - it only took me a couple of minutes to turn a mostly-black Circus into a mostly-white facsimile.  I'm sure I could have got a better result still, if I'd put a bit more effort in.

Anyway, the real proof-of-the-pudding came at my show tonight, when the 'agents wife' commented (without prompting) how nice and clean the diabolos looked.  Result!

I still think dying them with pink dye would make them look very snazzy :D
