The other day, I found out that my WHITE thuds (of which I have seven) don't shine in UV! My white sock poi do though — it looks really cool.
If you stare at a UV light with half a ping pong ball over each eye for 2 minutes you'll experience temporary blindness :).

why would anyone want to 'experience' temporary blindness? diabolo looks sweet in uv light as you cant see the spin at all, looks like a stationary diabolo. therefore stick grinds etc look amazing.
Making the possible totally impossible

I would! There should be a best trick competition with everybody doing blind tricks. With blind judges of course.  ;)

haha, that would be a great competition.

btw the 'temporary blindness' works with normal lights as well, not just UV

Dates arent out yet AFAIK. I wonder if the EJC would consider moving their dates if they clashed? ;)

They are out, 15th - 16th, so no clashing :)

The best bit is my birthday is on the sunday, two conventions followed by presents.....yay! (having said that, my main present will probably be money to pay for going to Karlsruhe, but it's totally worth it)

W00T! My mom is trying to plan a vacation to Czech Republic, I live in Holland so we will be traveling through Germany. Now on our way back she might want to make a stop for the EJC :D
Nothing is sure yet, but its very very possible I will be here too  ;D

We planned our whole vacation this evening (we are pretty fast in that :p), car is hired, etc.! so I will be there whole week/almost whole week, depends on if we arive 2 aug or 4 aug or so.
When I ordered my last diabolo I got a poster from the EJC with it, and it makes me soo exited!!!

I'm going, provided that I can find a cheap enough way to get there. Anyone driving down who wants to split the cost/driving?
