Sun vs finesse (selling g3's and g2)
« on: December 22, 2007, 08:08:04 PM »
Hey, i was thinking about buying some crystal suns and selling my finesse's, But as I have never tried Sun's, I wanted the opinions on them.
Is their feeling somewhat similar to a fly? (I love the fly feeling) Or is it closer to a finesse? Is it better or worse then a finesse, in your opinions?

I thought it was WELL-explained that the Sun is the 'concrete' version of a Fly, so what do you think?

Who's interested in buying 3 finesse?
(2 G3's, 1 G2)
BTW, They are in GREAT shape.
Seriously. Like perfect.
I just don't like finesse  :P

it's worth saying that the sun is heavier than the fly, i believe.
If you've been using finesses, which is lighter than the fly, it might feel awkward

No it's not, it weighs the same if you use the same washers/weight kit. They weigh differently stock, that is.

Oh my - repeating myself again

Suns feel very much like a fixed axle Fly (only much more durable).  Stock weight of a fixed Fly is 275g - Stock weight of a Sun is 290g but if you fit the Fly washers to the Sun then the weight is again about 275g - likewise fit the sun washers (weight kit) to the Fly and you get a 290g Fly.

Personally I like the stock weight of the Suns, but thats just opinion - make your own mind up on what you like, I just offer the options

Basically - what Martijn said

Well, i'm definitely going to have to sell some stuff before i can get those Crystal Sun's, worth of USD is continuously going down, and 3 crystal suns + Shipping equals around 172$ USD.
Since pounds= about 1.98 times USD.
However, how much do finesses cost in pounds in the UK? I'll need to know that before i sell to any european buyer's, cause i want to make it a deal, but since USD is going down i don't want to lose too much money.
In USD, I'll sell for around 30-35$, Unless you have suns and are planning to make a deal with me =P (They cost 40-60 new in USD, And that doesnt include shipping)

Btw, Nev, any chance of me making a deal with you? ::)

And Matt, PM me if your interested in buying  ;D

Not a hope in hell - All my finesse / circi went out to good homes a long while ago (I kept 2 finesse just to fit the Revo kits - thats the only reason I have to own any).

Ahaah. For Legault's sake we need to set up an eBay style selling place for all the Diabolo.ca folk.
Can't beleive I just said folk..

Seriously, you really can't sell diabolo's well on ebay since noone knows how much theyre worth.
Maybe we could collaborate with a yo-yo forum as well, get more buyers.

yeah I would really love an ebay type place to sell some diabolos....or maybe just a part of the forum where we can post items for sale. I've got a bunch of diabolos I need to get off my hands because my kind grandma bought way too much for one person to ever consider having.
