The diabolos I saw with "Ryo Yabe Style" written on the inside were some diabig-esque diabolos being sold at the BJC for a measly £12 a pop.  Dave Proctor bought 3 of them and found them quite nice, though he had to balance them out with some washers in the cups.

I'm happy with my Circuses though, I'm just a bit rubbish in general, I won't blame my equipment :-P

Harlequin, because it's quite small but still heavy and easy to use. It's the most selling diabolo in Finland. And It's good looking!! ;D

mod edit - Just put the 're:' back on the post title.  Please don't remove it - it makes it look like a new topic in the recent posts list.  Cheers.

Heh... I'm certain there are a number of people who'd beg to differ :D.

I don't like them much for vertax, since they aren't as effectively designed :-\
Especially with UFO type tricks
Although the customization is nice, that can still be competed with by the Circus, of course ::)

It's not, you really have to get a decent sized diabolo to be able to do tricks well with it.  I reccommend 5 inch diabolos like the finesse or circus because they really are the way to go unless you want a fly or taibolo.

I'm thinking we should close this and open a 2007-08 poll to see how trends have changed.

Haha, I think that would be good, and some of the newer diabolo brands that have emerged should be included now ;)
Like the various Asian diabolos and such :D

I would of course vote for Finesse, then get a diabolo I like better ::) afterwards (IE a Fly, or a Taibolo) so the ability to change your vote should be included

Still thinking? :)
Since it's October already, maybe we could just wait a couple of months and start another one early 2008? Then it could be done precisely every year....or 2, just an idea ;)

Sounds like a good idea. By then more people will have had a chance to try some of the newer brands as well.

Yay for "Other", here's what I'm using.

Only thing i've used other than this is the plastic whistling chinese yo yos.
I have to say I don't really like this diabolo but it's all i've used so...."GO DIABOLO USED BY THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK OF WILLIAM'S CRAZY DIABOLO VIDEOS!!! YOU'VE GOT MY VOTE!!!"

I love my old Diabigs (the ones that´re actually called Diabig) becuase they are so all-round. Good for handgrinds, good weight for getting spread on whip/duicides, stable and easy to throw, easy to correct.

Recently though I´ve also taken a liking to wideaxled Fly´s with weightkits, but they didn´t get a vote because they´re slightly more difficult to control. Their wide axle is good for 3D though.

i'm a finesse g3 kinda guy. I couldn't live without them.
I tried a circus once, but i felt it was sort of uncooperative in a way, you know?

But renegades.......what the hell kind of idea was that? They're quite possibly the worst design i've ever seen
