Miki Homa - 1st video
« on: March 17, 2008, 12:58:21 AM »
Hello!
It's quite rare for me to post here, but since I made this video and Miki isn't really up to web juggling stuff, I'm doing it!
So, hope you'll like it, as it's the first only diabolo video I've ever edited  ::) -

Enjoy,

Great diabolo, great editing. Saw a few tricks from diabolo art III ;) (were you in "Our First Quality Video") All in all great video, and very well done.

quintuple vertax genocide was pretty sick.

Some cool stuff.  I really liked the double sucide body thing in excalibur.  Some nice stuff in every aspect of diabolo so that was nice to watch.  Some tricks seemed quite jerky which took away from it so try to smooth out some kinks and it'll be good.

Moffett: when was B# released?  was it 08 or 07?

Venetian Snares FTW!

Great video, Asolutely everything was perfect! I would have never thought to have things flash in the background in sync to the music. At first I thought it was going to be a Vertax-only video but then the second diabolo came in and the music changed and I was like SWEET! All in all great vid. Keep it up!

Yikes. There was some good stuff in there! Always like seeing a skilled diaboloist I haven't seen before. A few fresh ideas and an interesting lanky style. Good job on the editing too.

Thanks for posting!

As repeatedly said before, but still worth mentioning, very nice editing. Also some of the locations were really effective. There was one point where the speed of a sprinkler matched the frame rate of the vid and it looked as if the diabolos were stationary. Just an interesting observation.

@ Josh - B# was just at the very end of December 07.

As for the video, pretty much everything has been said. I did particularly love how most of his moves were well placed into the songs. What's the name of the second song, Ori? I quite liked that one.

Thanks a lot everyone!
The name of the second song is "oengyilkos vasarnap" by (as already yelled) "Venetian snares". The first one is "Kindness" by "Renaissance".

BTW, I've uploaded it also to JTV ,so you can download it..

I was really rude while watching the video. Like always i put down the music
which just shouldn't be done. So i apologize. I watched the video again like it
deserved. And it was really good.

I think we all could take an example of Ori's editing. And i don't talk only about
the flashes, which are great.  It's just nicer to watch the video when movement
goes like it should and angles change. If i had to say something criticism that
would be about the colors, filming inside & outside makes the colors in the film
change quite vividly, but thats only small thing and actually doesn't count that much.
And maybe the video was too long or i have some defects with my concentration.

I'm a big fan of you. Miki rocks and Ori is does it as well. Thanks a lot.

Really smooth, complex and creative diabolo, not seen anything this beautiful to watch since MFP = style.

On a side note, great song from a great album, nice to see it incorporated so well with a diabolo video.
Orchestral breakbeat in 7/8 really pushes my buttons.

when i first saw the video i thought that it was sloppy and messy and lacking style, but then i re-watched it with music and saw the originality and great editing. well done, some nice vertax tricks as well as some nice 2d moves - vertax gens were a bit sloppy and i dislike when a vertax genocide makes the diabolo tilted out of vertax.

great editing too did i mention?  ;)
