Easier Star Cradle entry than on diabolotricks
« on: March 28, 2008, 12:51:04 AM »
ok i just looked on diabolo tricks, and there is only a wierd way to get a star cradle m going to tell you how to do it easier :P
ok 1st thing you need to do is get enough speed and get into left backhand (i call it cross sticks but i think you all know it as backhand :S? anyway) bring the left hand's string over the right stick and put the left stick into this new 'triangle' put the stick against the right side and try to jump the diabolo over the stick (same a coffee grinder) but, dont land the diabolo on the same string, land it on the other string that is outside of the triangle, you should then get something that looks like a left trapeze, put the stick through and you get a big mess, but all you need to do is pull 2 strings (see bottom) and hop the diabolo onto the top like in a cats cradle, and your done
hope this is easy enough to understand xD

That's basically how I do it, 'cept I start from a J-whip on each hand.

O.o?
That sounds very much harder than the diabolotricks version. actually if you ignore the J-whip, all you have to do is a cats dradle and instead of throwing it up you just kind of twist and turn to get the figure you drew.
This post doesnt make any sense, sorry.

Sasha
(cant have the diabolo on my star, cause the strings to short)

I'm still not entirely sure what a star cradle is and I'm probably too lazy to find out!

I've got a couple of slack variations where a star appears to be the end result so perhaps I'm doing one....!

Much easier way is to learn to do J-whip on each hand and use them. As Beni just said.

Could someone give a better explanation how to get into it from a normal cats cradle?

Trapeze, string through the loop, through the diabolo up, catch on the cradle.

I still don't get it sorry.. Do you mean Trapze, string trough the loop, trow the diabolo up catch it on the cross trow it up again and you land it in the middle of the cross not on top but in the middle?

I added this too in the thread by Shan:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGFOVgjl6J8

Don´t know if it´s easier or harder. A long, more detailed explanation of the trick can be found if you look at it on youtube.
