Well wind ups can allways be because of poor technique

Well as the guy in the shop told me (About normal diabolo string... Not Sundia)

Quote
With the thinner string the diabolo spins alot faster on the string but with the thick string there is less cahnce of rips

Thanks Adamer15. :D
I just think it's strange that after doing just one Chinese acceleration with sundia string, the diabolo winds up immediately. So it's my technique problem. I think i still need a lot of practice to figure this out.

Try taking a look at your diabolo's axle

If you see it's not that shiny then give it a polish i recommend shoe lace because it works amazingly good

also a little update from me:
i'm back home, went to a shop with good material, and bought me some good aluminium diabolo sticks (my hands had suffered enough from those wooden ones ^^), some good rope (henry's yellow), and 2 henry's circus diabolos :)
i must say i very much feel the difference :).
when wrapped, it's easier to prevent the diabolo to wrap up, even more so, when i tried a wrapped start with 2 diabolos, on my first attempt i could actually keep the second diabolo nicely up there, and accelerate it, far better than with my other diabolos/rope, i didn't manage to actually start the 2d shuffle (that would have been a miracle for my first attemt :p), but i'm amazed at the difference :)
although i'm also noticing 1 advantage to the nice pattern on the arlequins: you can see how fast your diabolo is still turning :p
but i'll get a feel of the new diabolos too probably :)
it's also nice that with the aluminium sticks, that the rope is on the end, so it won't wrap around the stick with things like a forced sun or so :)

Well yeah you will and from my experience (With finesses) once hit alot on the floor they get scratches and stuff like that
That way i can tell how fast it's spinning :D

Good choices! I'm glad to see you've taken the plunge. You're now set up with quality equipment and I'm sure the learning process will be that much more enjoyable. Some day you'd do well to invest in a set of plastic hubs to replace the metal ones. They feel smoother on the string, are lighter, are less likely to catch the string, and wear the string slower. Have a look under the "Axles" section of the Gear Sticky.

Circuses, more than most diabolos, will show dirt marks and marks from other diabolos soon enough. Then you'll have no problem seeing how fast they are spinning... and will want to clean them. ;)  (brillo scrub pad, hot water, and optional acetone)
