VotW: 24 November 2008: Paul
« on: November 24, 2008, 08:50:51 AM »
Paul is back with a nice little contact-like concept crossed over with diabolo - isolations with propellers. It's nice to see even more different concepts being brought over to diabolo, although it does make us look like thieves now!

The best kind of video of the week. Technically simple but opens up a world of possibilities.

Well, technically simple, but artistically challenging in this case.

It's all in the thumbs, eh?

Wouldn't Langerz hubstack thingies fit perfectly in this (new) genre of tricks?

It's a bit easier to make out from the .avi file. I believe he does a stopover, then picks up the string on the other stick, and grabs the 2 loops with his thumbs.

Things don't have to be complicated to look nice
Amen to that.

wow it kind of looks like contact juggling really impressive
this last year it was the year of the integral maybe next should be the year of the stick trap

side note chickens are the best contact jugglers

Hi

Sorry to drag up an old thread but I kinda wanted to know, are you using a bearing axled diabolo here? whenever I try this using my fixed axle it slows down far too much. (I may just be doing it wrong though :embarassed:)

Cheers
