New To Diabolo World

Hi! I have no diabolo experience and I want to get one. Do you have any suggestions on which kind I should get? I know almost nothing, and want something good quality. What should I get?

Hi Matt,

There's *tons* of advice on the subject if you have a look around. Here are some threads to get you started:

Equipment (the main gear sticky, definitely read through this)
Equipment Guide (v0.5)
'Which Diabolo To Choose' (sightly incomplete but still useful)
Which Diabolo (same question basically)
best begginer diabolo (same question again)
Beginner Diabolo (again, same question)
Favourite Diabolo Poll 2008 (see what people like these days)
Favourite Diabolo Poll 2005-2007 (see what people liked a while ago)

In short: get a full sized 5 inch diabolo. Doesn't matter which one as long as it's one of the big names described in the above threads (read the gear sticky if you're not sure). Get whatever appeals to you and/or is most easily available. If you want to practice on pavement a lot, then go with one of the rubber diabolos - Henrys circus or Mister Babache Finesse. If you're happy on grass and indoors then any of them will be great. Pick whatever you want. Something not mentioned in those threads above is a brand new diabolo about to come out (but not out quite yet). Should be a bit cheaper too. If at all possible, try some out first. If you can't, don't sweat it and order.
