sundia surgery

Ok..

THe other day at school i was using my fly, doing some fast tech stuff and making all the little kids soil themselves etcm i finished a combo (coming out at full speed) and the fly flew. It went 30m or so, i went and picked it up and started again.. but it was wobbling alot, and i could see through it!
I picked it up and had a look. a crack had gone right through the diabolo, astarting one side of the hub, going right through it, then all the way to the lip on the other side.

I was a bit annoyed, but it was quite funny.. That day when i got back i had an idea..

I went to my desk armed with a zippo and a spanner, unscrewed the fly and melted all the way along the crack, then flatened the melted plastic over the wound :D. Did that all the way round and on the inside, let it harden and had a go.

 good as new!!!

i got a bit artsy so i like some of them :D Tell me what you think!

good as new!!!

Please post pictures of the ones you repaired! The ones you have posted pictures of are clearly new! You will never pull the wool over my eyes.

Plus how did you manage to launch it 30m out of a combo? Thats impressive! Diabolo record? (Worst muck up).

Plus just thinking about you throwing a diabolo the distance of a swimming pool by mistake... I soiled myself! You bugger!

Ouch.

Then again, maybe I should Zippo my Taibolo too.  Except I don't have a Zippo.  And I'm not man enough to torch my precious Red-dy.

Actually i just did this today with my sudia's. lol. Since i was just messing around a couple of times outside during the winter, i cracked the cup. This at least makes the diabolo usable again.
