I ended up lecky taping the cd's to my standed 290 crystals. Still looks good though XD The sunlight really makes it an impressive thing to take pictures of.

I use to do that with my old yohos, balloons work well too, but like Barnsey said, dropping it isn't pretty.

Ok I`ve just shiney crome taped my suns up last night and they are propper shiney. Then the Cd mod idea its been 2 days of shiney brilliance. And im wearing glitter too.

Anywho, Im using regular Suns and tesco cheapy DVD-s and they do fit. You really have to push the buggers in though, then you can make them convex or concave when in situ.
And just tested them, they look amazing! until you drop them......
What price shinyness?

More testing, testing....

Making the CDs concave (push them in towards the axel) give them more strength, they can take a high speed drop on concrete and remain inplace. Convex the cd and they pop out and shatter a bit!
Hope this all helps.

Ps. I know in my heart that these wont last long, they are heavy and fragile.
But right now its sunny and they are rocking my world! Shiny precious yes...

I just trimmed down the cd to make it a bit more squarish. It fit in nice and tight. Only then did I find out snapping the cd in half was the only antidote for getting it out. Awwell noone would ever want a Corel Draw v.2 disk made for windows 96. Anywho it looked nice so now im gonna buy some cheap cd's and do it again.

..........They lasted about a day. Just got into work and Stumpy "safety tested" them by slinging the yellow one as hard as he could onto the floor. It broke. So did my heart.
back to the drawing board then.....
