Competition for diabolo?
« on: March 29, 2009, 09:23:44 PM »
Well i've been online and I have found something that can wipe out the diabolo... it's called a Myachi. Its a rectangular hacky sack for your hand and every other part but not your palm. These are fun i have two but these have been on the news and newspapers. These are sold in various stores around the world. here is a link to a video Myachi Commercial these are sold in stores in America but diabolos are not so many people do not know about diabolo. They are sold in F.A.O Schwarz a huge toy store in New York so they sell a lot. If only diabolos were sold in stores they could be heard of way more.

:shakeshead:

What a useless prop, it does everything a hacky sack can do yet they've taken all the skill out of it.  'Something to wipe out diabolo'?  Good luck with that.

There was mention of these on one of the yo-yo sites some time ago - probably a couple of years back, if not more.  It was supposed to be the great new thing back then, too...

What relevance does how much they're making have to do with how good it is? Based on your theory that makes Microsoft one of the coolest things ever!

Actually i prefer this for all the junk they sell kids, at least this is closer to juggling. ;)
Sound effects looked cool but i think i'll stick to my footbag.

Will be waiting for the army of those little contact jugglers.

Can't believe they're still trying to flog these things!

I had a leopard skin one about eight years ago, don't know where it is now, must have sunk to the bottom of my voluminous toy box.

Anyway, everyone knows that kendama is the skill toy of choice at the moment...

Ha, I might have guessed that you already had one.  In fact, now I think about it, I'm wondering if this wasn't something you tried to explain to me, a long while back.

Anyhow, yes, kendama still rules of course.  Just had a fun session with my giant 16" kendama and didn't manage to break anything at all.  TeamKD!

I laughed at that commercial so many times I was convinced it was a joke...but apparently not:

Lotus (8)

Wolverine (25)

From 40 secs onwards the second one is just too good.

So, to be awesome, all I have to do is throw this hacky thing in the air, flail my hands around, and catch it again?

I'm with Guy and Donald - I'll stick to kendama.

How do you patent a PE beanbag?  I'm all for new toys, but maybe batting a hoop with a stick will remain king.

This was not what I was expecting from the title though, but I've seen it now, you can't unsee it!
