I think mabye it helps that i use harlequins

i belive a sprinklers stability derives from two forces, the spin of the diabolos and the inertia of the pattern.

so if u really shunt a fat bethemoth, inertias on ur side

another trick i have been working on is go into hyperloop then send the hyperloop over in a trapeze then back out of the trapeze then wrap out
do it, do it ,do it, DO IT!

An insane an possibly impossible trick would be to wrap the string around your arm and somehow get a sprinkler going around the arm... trick of the week if you do it:)

Trick of the week, trick of the MONTH! But I think it should be not that hard... Thanks for idea...

I Still think this trick is extremely hard to do, but dont let that stop us...
I have some ideas on how to enter.
left hand armstall swing the stalled diabolo around the arm and the other diabolo. this will get you into the possition but the diabolos will not have verry much momentum :-(
Maybe its better to start doing around the arm and just frontwrap everyting (including your rigth arm) with your left hand. tried this a couple of times, and it doesnt seem that hard to do.
I think that the best way to enter wuld be from some kind of sun that goes around and wraps the rigth arm so that you have good momentum when you start. Kind of like this sun on the rigth side with rigth stick pointing backwards like when you do arm orbits. Actually it migth be a good idea to start this "sun" from arm orbits...

Tahia has some nice hyperloop to arm wrap/monorail-ish type moves, I believe he had some as a Diaboloumberto trick of the week .

(having a long string like Tahia probably helps)

so i've been just playing round a bit

i normally max out at 3 reverse hyperloops but mostly its two
i have in the past gone above this but they need to be really tight or touching a bit

i found a new release i was using for an old trick, to get out of the reverse hyperloop i'm now working on wraping frontwards and backwards at the same time since the hyperloop is a lot slower u can leave them just hanging in the air and tale the string down to catch them both when they fall

Hyperloop, trapeze, Double suicide stick realease
gives a really slow double sucide with two diabolos very easy to catch
do it, do it ,do it, DO IT!

One cool way to get into a sprinkler is to do a sun and then wrap up the diabolos. eg. do a clockwise sun then put a loop around the front with your left hand.  This then gets you in the same position as if you had  wraped around the back with your left hand. Doesn't make a lot of diference but can look really smooth if done one after the other.

hi

i can do a normal, double or triple sprinkler pretty much with ease by now. but in the sprinkler thread, there were two things mentioned, which i really want to know more about.

1) aggressive and not as aggressive sprinklers that need less speed to keep going. i would like to know how to do them very much, as speeding the diabolos up to a triple sprinkler lvl ( i guess i do the aggressive variante ) takes a lot of time.

2) exploding sprinklers, i think thats the name of the trick, when 1 diabolo is thrown up within the sprinkler very high and then falls back and starts hyperlooping again. is there anything else to that than pushing one of the diabolos?

help please
thx a lot

An aggressive sprinkler I imagine would be the right hand backwrap (for righties).  You kinda push the whole shuffle to the right and sort of sun it into the sprinkler.  Ryo Yabe does his sprinklers this way I believe and manages to get into a triple.  A left hand front wrap is a fairly non-aggressive way in and the one I favour.

As for exploded sprinklers, my knowledge of this I got from Priam's site where he has a small video.  Left hand front wrap into the sprinkler, and then throw the shuffle up while crossing your right arm over your left (sort of like you're doing an X salute with your arms).  When you bring it back down you should be on an open string.

we took a video today, although it's being annoying and he cant keep it up for more than 5 seconds because he's hurt his wrist, we'll try and get one up as soon as possible.

Thanks

And has anybody tried/landed that sprinkler duicide by I think Jako?  Think you told me bout this one seán_.  Double sprinkler, one a backwrap, the other a frontwrap, throw up and release sticks so they unwrap in both directions and catch...still haven't done it  :(  lol

riku can do this very well.. ive seen his trying it with piruette, im not sure if he can do it now..

i think we should use term "hyperloop" as sprinkler where is stick inside the loop (its really 2d trapetse)

i have done inverse hyperloop few times.. it opens like magic knot.. and there is lots of possibilities to do stalls and grinds and grindknots from sprinkler.. great tricks but very difficult ones to me at least.. my sprinkler technic really sucks..

The trapezey type thing is a 'shuffle over' as in a stop over/shuffle over the stick, theres a thread about the name/history ('hyperloop, sprinkler, tourbilon')

the duicide thingy is not that bad, i've done it as a final trick on stage a few times, I've tried the piro but no joy I've also played with  it as a pass between a right and left handed diaboloist.

So after learning the sprinkler i was wondering what sort of things you can do with it, i can sun, pirouette and sun out but thats bout all.Ive heard of suicides out and adding more wraps but thats about it. Ideas?

sorry to bumb this topic up, but i just though - have anybody done trick where you make sprinkler (or add loops to it) by throwing stick? i do it in my old video "empty" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SjIaW_Vyjw at 00.39 - 00.42 - that is version where i make sprinkler that way and let stick came back same way.. its nice trick i think, but it wont work very often..

Diaboloumberto does it in one of his older videos as well, I forget which one. I've do it now and again but have had most luck with finesses and heavy sticks, I have always tried to grab the stick never to let it form and unform like you do, nice trick.

I was watching some old videos and I realized that I can't figure out how to do the transfer to sprinkler.

Can anyone explain how?

I can do both transfers (inside and outside) and I can exit the sprinkler with one diabolo wrapped. But I can't make it into a sprinkler again!

If you do a left-hand backwrap sprinkler, then you let the sprinkler fall out so you have one wrapped and the other free, it should be in a left hand backwrap.  Then just swing the wrapped diabolo on the left over to the right so it hits the string and it should be back in the lhbw sprinkler.

The only video I can think where it is in is Seán, Matt F and Matt H in "Leeds Lot" where Seán does it.  Quite simple trick but fancy.
