NJF (Dutch Juggling Convention)
« on: May 31, 2005, 05:45:57 PM »
In the beginnign of Mai (5 - 8 mai) Arjan, I and many others went to the Dutch Juggling Convention. I made a video of it, and someone else from Belgium (Wim) too. I thought, let's post them here now. So here they are:

FIRST VIDEO (by me): http://66.49.236.16/video/njf2005.mpg

SECOND VIDEO (by Wim): http://66.49.236.16/video/njf2.wmv

I've mirrored the first of those here: http://barnesy.org/mirror/njf2005.mpg

I'm going home now, so will watch it then!

edit - Good stuff!  Thanks for the sympathetic edit near the start!  :)  That's a pretty good indication of the frustration of learning 3 low.  It's definitely still improving, but it's still slow

Haven't watched the videos yet, but Martijn, do the settings on the bottom right corner of TMPGEnc look like this?

It could be accidentally set on a video only setting.

Looks like a really grt convention. I should really get some money together to go to one soon.

Is there a list of all the conventions this year anywhere? if not then maybe a sticky should be created?

Nice edting job on both aswell.

Thanks Sean! That's the problem, it's now on the first one... I'll convert it again now, but good

Thanks again!

EDIT: still can't... :? If I set it to the right option, and choose a file, it ignors the audio and the settings go back to the first option... stupid computer

http://www.jugglingdb.com/events is the site you want.

Putting it in a diabolo related websites sticky thread is a very good idea.  In fact, it's such a good idea, it's been there since the forum started...

Martijn, sounds like you're having some problems... if all else fails, download a fresh copy of TMPGEnc and try again. It should be set on the bottom option as is shown in the picture.

The videos rocked. What a high level of juggling at a well attended convention. My convention deprived existence is jealous as always. I knew Eden Zak was a good bounce juggler, but... wow.   Anyway, back to diabolo...

well maybe i should read the post and not just see links and download one. I didnt realise they were 2 different vids. Great second vid, Eden has some mad skills. Who's the young one with the photons that has obviously been watching far too much Gerber?

I just rewatched those videos and realised some superb synching of the music to the moves.  Like the guy in black's three ball routine with silicones against the Jack Rabbit Slim's music (makes it a lil bit mincey).  And when Deitz does the backcrosses shuffling in a circle, almost like he's dancing to it (happy man that he is).

Do you know whether people like Deitz and Eden Zak are going to attend these conventions beforehand?  Because I'd love to go to a convention and see the big hitters there, would definately sway me into getting a ticket.

Anyone going to Bristol Convention?
